7 1.0 INTRODUCTION This document supports installation and maintenance of Argus units configured with the 9V937- A01C user program stored in flash memory. This document: Explains LED indications Lists setup steps unique to 9V937-A01C Lists all messages generated by 9V937-A01C Describes User Test Mode supported by 9V937-A01C For further information on Argus, including configuration of executive software, refer to the ARGUS EVENT RECORDER, A80311 Installation & Operation Manual (Siemens document No. SIG ). Each row presents an entry in the site setup sequence. The first column shows the text that appears on the Argus screen or in the terminal display. The two middle columns give the options or define the range of values that may be entered. The rightmost column summarizes conditions that determine if that row s step will appear, for example: the ANY LED BULBS USED? entry will appear only if the entry for ilod MODULES? is greater than 0 (> 0). 10 3.0 DIGITAL INPUT STANDARD CONFIGURATION The following tables define the inputs for the 12 digital inputs at the bottom of the Argus front panel for 9V937-A01C. Once inputs are assigned based on the site setup answers, they cannot be changed. 11 4.0 INDICATOR LED CONFIGURATION This table and the following material on LED conventions define operation of the red Indicator LEDs for 9V937-A01C. LED Alarm Numbers Designator I01 18 BATTERY I02 5 AC I03 9, 70 GATE I04 16 BELL I05 13, 71, 72 LIGHTS I06 22 PREEMPT I07 1 TROUBLE LIGHT I08 7 INTERNAL NOTE Indicator LEDs I03 through I08 are not used in the AC Detector Configuration. 5.0 STANDARD LED CONVENTIONS 1. LEDs are ON (RED) when no alarm has been generated or an alarm has been cleared using the CLEAR ALARM key. 2. LEDs FLASH FAST when an alarm condition exists. 3. LEDs FLASH SLOW if an alarm has occurred but the alarm condition no longer exists. 4. The CLEAR ALARM key will not clear out alarms if they currently exist. 6.0 BATTERY INPUT CONFIGURATION The following table shows the 9V937-A01C default names and resolutions for the three battery inputs along the left side of the Argus front panel. Inputs are automatically detected by the application program. 5
12 7.0 APPLICATION ALARMS FOR CROSSING CONFIGURATION The 9V937-A01C application generates these alarms when enabled during site setup. An island must be occupied for at least 15 seconds GDP is ON for 60 seconds with no island activation Crossing has been active for 6 seconds and BELL OUT is OFF A flash rate of < 35 or > 65 flashes per minute is recorded after the crossing has been active for at least 11 seconds and an island has been active for > 4 seconds A bulb out condition exists (ANY LED BULBS=NO) or a current drop of >=.7A is measured (ANY LED BULBS=YES) after the crossing has been active for at least 11 seconds and an island has been active for > 4 seconds PREEMPT is ON and the crossing is active for at least 2 seconds Alarm # Always 18 Always 5 9 Always , 72 TLITE OFF for 60 seconds Always 1 Any ilod reports poor echelon communication 22 Menu Condition LOW BATTERY AC OFF GATE POSITION FAIL GATE DOWN BELL FLASH RATE LAMP PREEMPTION CONTROLLER Always 7 N/A 6
