1 General Specifications GS 32P06K52-01EN Model Fire and Gas Communication Module GENERAL This document describes about Model fire and gas communication module (*1) used with a safety control station () for performing fire and gas communication. The fire and gas communication function is one of safety subsystem communication function to safety perform communication with the subsystem devices. By using the s fire and gas communication function, the gas concentration data from wireless gas detector () (*2) can be referred to via a fire and gas communication module. This fire and gas communication module can be mounted on a safety control unit (S2SC70 ). It can also be mounted on a safety node unit (SNB10D), which is connected to S2SC70. *1: Supported by ProSafe-RS R or later. *2: Wireless gas detector is a product of GasSecure AS which is a subsidiary of the German company Drägerwerk AG & Co. RS4F1500 Safety Control Function (for S2SC70 ) Engineering requirements Engineering work can be performed with RS4E5100 safety system engineering and maintenance function. Also engineering for field wireless system and configuration of wireless gas detector () are required separately. 3 3 FIRE AND GAS COMMUNICATION FUNCTION Fire and gas communication function is for to acquire the gas concentration data from wireless gas detector () via fire and gas communication module mounted on and field wireless system comply with the ISA100.11a standards. Field wireless system used as communication paths consists of Field Wireless Management Station (), Field Wireless Access Point (), and Field Wireless Media Converter (YFGW610). Field wireless system has architecture to segregate station and antenna, thus, achieves reliable and flexible system operation by the dualredundant configuration for each devices. System configuration A system configuration example to connect ProSafe-RS system, field wireless system, and wireless gas detector is shown as below. Configuration of, definition of communication input / output, and setting of device operating conditions and alarm management are performed by AD Organizer. The parameters of PROFINET and PROFIsafe are configured by using the PROFINET configurator (*1) launched from AD Organizer. *1: PROFINET configurator (SYCON.net-SLP/YOKO) is provided by Hilscher GmbH. AD Server AD Server is a station to manage all engineering data such as RS project generated by SENG. HIS/ENG HIS/ENG is a station to perform operating, monitoring, and engineering of CENTUM VP, and it can be installed in the same computer as SENG (*1) (*2). HIS can monitor operating conditions and alarm messages of by using ProSafe-RS s CENTUM VP integration function. HIS can also monitor operating conditions of the field wireless system and gas concentration data and self-diagnostics information of acquired by using tag name access. *1: When SENG and HIS/ENG are installed in a single computer, PROFIBUS-DP configurator of CENTUM VP and PROFINET configurator of SENG cannot be launched at the same time. *2: HIS/ENG cannot be installed in the same computer installed idefine for ProSafe. (*1) is a field wireless management station and has a function as a gateway to field wireless devices. The dualredundant configuration of is supported. It is recommended to segregate the network segment using VLAN function of HUB in case of connecting to, and to FWMC in a single HUB. YFGW610 YFGW610 is a field wireless media converter to convert the signals between 100BASE-TX (metal network cable) and 100BASE-FX (optical fiber cable).
