2 SWITCH, & CONTROLS MANUALLY OR SYNCHRONIZED SEQUENCE THE AUTO/MANUAL SWITCHERS EXS123 & EXS143 Incorporating cascadable ext. sync. generator the EXS123 and EXS143 can be connected to a large system and lock its ext. sync. generator to a master generator or become a master generator through its in-out cascade connectors. Having separate monitor outputs and separate input selectors, the 8 channel switcher EXS123 and 4 channel switcher EXS143 provide separate selection for manual and sequential channels. The incorporated alarm homing and the VCR playback are routed through the sequential monitor output. Common Manual Auto/Manual With the sequential set to off both outputs provide common manual selection. The two selectors provide separate manual and sequential outputs. THE AUTO/MANUAL SWITCHER/CONTROLLERS EXS125 & EXS145 The EXS125 and EXS145 auto switchers offer user friendly by-pass setting keys, indicated by multi color LEDs and sequence time setting of 4 sec. ~ 45 sec. through a rotary control. Both the 8 channels EXS125 and the 4 channels EXS145 auto/manual switchers provide selective controls for pan, pan speed, tilt, zoom and focus. Selecting any of the camera s manual selector keys will divert the control keys to the selected camera, the auxiliary lines however are common to all camera auxiliary lines. REMOTE ON OFF ILIARY REMOTE ON-OFF Remote auto on switching of camera auxiliary equipment is provided to all four or eight cameras in parallel through the cameras D connectors. Similar to the motor control, the auxiliary on-off employs +12V DC level to switch the camera s auxiliary equipment on. Separately from the cameras auxiliary line which is switched on along with the power switch, the front panel mounted auxiliary key offers other auxiliary controls. It is designed to activate a related auxiliary equipment through the convenience of auxiliary key at the switcher s front panel. The auxiliary key s dry contacts are connected through the monitor s A/V D connector and are limited to 30mA current level.

3 THE ALARM CIRCUIT Auto switcher models EXS123, EXS125, EXS143 and EXS145 incorporate auto homing alarm inputs and dry relay contacts alarm output, while EXS123 & EXS125 offer in addition a sequencing display of multi alarms at 4 sec. interval. 8P D FOUR OR EIGHT ALARM PUTS AND AUTO HOMG The alarm is activated by contact closure, grounding any of the alarm input lines activates the alarm. 8 pin D jack provides four or eight alarm input connections. When alarm is triggered, the auto homing circuit stops the sequencing process and automatically diverts the alarmed channel input and locks it to the sequential output. If multiple alarms are triggered simultaneously the nearest camera in sequence will be locked to the output (EXS143 & EXS145), or sequencing alarms at 4 sec. interval will commence (EXS123 & EXS125). Relay contacts activate time lapse VCR recording or other auxiliary alarm equipment during the alarm and during the 60 sec. alarm holding time. Front panel mounted LED flashes to indicate alarm. OPTIONAL ALARM BUZZER EBZ900 Optional alarm buzzer EBZ900 is provided with plug and adhesive base for simple installation inside the switcher. 4 SELECT SELECT AUTO SEQ SPEED / THE MANUAL SWITCHERS EXS120 & EXS140 The EXS120 and EXS140 uses mechanical passive switch to switch over video, audio and control s. Mechanical switching requires no power and both the 8 inputs EXS120 and the 4 inputs EXS140 switchers do not use power, therefore in order to generate s to the control and auxiliary lines from a separate power source, access is provided through the A/V monitor 8 pin D connector. The manual models EXS120 and EXS140 switch 4 control lines in addition to the audio and video, thereby providing switched connections for custom controls of pan, tilt, zoom, focus and auxiliary. Such arrangement permits a simplified playback of the VCR through a playback selector key which reroutes the monitor to display the VCR. EXT SYNC PUT LE +12V LEFT DOWN The motor control circuits require only single control wire for each motorized function. Applying high or low logic levels to the control wires will operate the motors in reciprocal directions, wherein; high is +12V and low is ground. The positive 5V-8Vp-p pulses are detected by the camera s video line sensor, which resets the camera s SSG to its first field. The second field is generated by the camera s SSG for perfect 2:1 interlace. To transmit ext. sync pulses through the video coax cable and through line amplifiers such as distributors and boosters in reverse direction to the video propagation, the consists of full range of boosters/cable compensators and distributors incorporating ext. sync by-pass circuit.
