3 Observations (Az. Ponterosa) Improved balance between vegetative and productive phase. More uniform and compact flowers. The flowering phase of the treated plot took 15 days, compared to 22 days of the control plot. 32% saving on the harvesting costs. Treated plots: 35 days picking, control plots: 52 days picking. +6% increase in diameter size of treated fruits (25,6mm) compared to untreated fruits (24 mm). More homogeneous clusters (photo 1). 0% mildew infections (Odium) on treated fruits compared to 10% mildew infections on untreated fruits.

5 Observations (Az. Passalacqua) The grapevines treated with SILIFORCE showed a more controlled growth and a better vegetative balance. This improved the resistance during the long hot summer. Almost no leaves were burnt in the treated plots compared to severe leaves burnt in the untreated plots. +7,4% increase in diameter of the treated grapes (27mm compared to 25mm). This was caused by the improved balance between the vegetative and productive phase. Less disease pressure from coccus. This harmful insect had less chance to develop. The development of the plague on the SILIFORCE plot was stopped at the 1 st generation. The untreated plots showed severe coccus attacks (Photo 2). Only 5% of the grapes were infected by mildew on the SILIFORCE plots. 80% of the grapes were affected by mildew on the untreated plots.

9 Siliforce & mildew (odium) COURGETTE Courgette plants, type Clarita et Lamezia, grown in greenhouses and field have been treated with foliar spray SILIFORCE (20ml/100l, ph =6). The treatments started when 4-5 leaves were visible. The effects of SILIFORCE on mildew have been compared to the effects of regulator fungicides. CUCUMBER Cucumber plants, type Sargon have been treated with foliar spray SILIFORCE (20ml/100l, ph = 6). The treatments started before the flowering phase when the plants were 1 meter high. The effects of SILIFORCE on mildew have been compared to the effects of fungicides. Both types of crops are very susceptible to mildew infections. The increase of resistance against mildew infections on plots treated with SILIFORCE were very positive. During the vegetative phase 0% of the plants were infected by mildew During the other growth phases the percentage of mildew infections increased to roughly 35%.

11 Siliforce and increased resistance Siliforce is a sustainable solution for: 1. Increased resistance against fungal diseases (mildew) 2. Increased resistance against pests (coccus) 3. Increased resistance against climate stress (temperature changes) It is important to start the treatment with SILIFORCE during the first vegetative phase so that the bio available silicon has time to strengthen cell structures.
