HURRICANE SEASON Hurricane season starts June 1st. AND GoesThru November. While we have been fortunate in Sarasota to miss much bad weather, the threat is always there that we could be affected.

3 HURRICANE SEASON Hurricane season starts June 1st. AND GoesThru November. While we have been fortunate in Sarasota to miss much bad weather, the threat is always there that we could be affected. It is wise to know what you need to do in the event we have severe weather. Attached is a copy of the hurricane info provided from the park office. It is also possible for the clubhouse to be opened where residents can go. The clubhouse is Not a storm shelter but may provide more shelter than a Mobil home. In the event you find yourself retreating to our clubhouse here is what may help make you more comfortable : 1. Bring a blanket and pillow with cots if you have one. 2. You can bring your pets. owners are responsible for care and cleanup of their own pets. Be sure to bring their food & water bowls. 3. Bring bottled water if you have it along with your medications. 4. Flashlights.with good batteries 5. Cellphone & charger 6. Snacks if you want them This is only a partial list. you may or may not have a different list of things you need. THE IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS THAT WE WANT ALL OF OUR RESIDENTS TO STAY SAFE. We all plan to enjoy our summer here in Florida as well. We will look forward to seeing you all again this fall. SATURDAY BREAKFAST Florida park summer residents MARK YOU CALENDARS: come join us for breakfast at Der Dutchman. Every Saturday thru October. We meet at 8:30 am. But come early, if you wait til 8:30 you are running late. If you have an idea of something fun to do this summer with our residents be sure and let us know so an announcement gets to all summer residents. THURSDAY DINNER Every month during the summer our residents pick a resturant for dinner. It is tradionally the last THURSDAY of the month. Watch the park bulletin board for times places and dates. If you have a favorite place to go for dinner we are open for suggestions. HOLIDAY COOKOUTS Plans are being made for cookouts for memorial day May 29, Independence day July 4th and labor day September 4th at the outdoor kitchen by the pool. A sign up sheet will be inside the clubhouse on the bulletin board. Please sign up AND come join us. All you need to bring is a side dish, the rest is provided. Hope to see you there. IN CASE OF EXTREME HEAT OR RAIN, EVENTS MAY BE MOVED INTO THE CLUBHOUSE. 3

NEW MANAGER Meet Becky Locati, our new office manager. Some of us got to meet her at coffee in April. But many of you had already gone north. Becky has been with the company 10 years.

She is excited to not only be our new manager but also to be a member of our great community. Be sure to welcome her when you see her.
