Kentucky Ave (pre-owned sales & service) in Glendale, Glendale County, Colorado (Figure 1). The dealership is comprised of the following buildings: 900 S. Colorado Blvd. - 5,609 square ft building (new automobile sales showroom and offices) built in 2000/2001; and 4320 E. Kentucky Ave. 34,420 square ft (pre-owned automobile showroom, offices, parts storage, maintenance areas) built in 1984 with construction of an addition in The asbestos survey was conducted prior to future renovation and/or demolition of the two buildings. This report presents the methods and results of the asbestos survey.

2 Mr. Doug Siska November 13, 2013 Page Asbestos Survey Activities H&H conducted the asbestos survey in general accordance with Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) guidelines for asbestos building inspections. The objective of the asbestos survey was to: identify and assess the condition of suspect ACMs, either friable or non-friable, on the interior and exterior of the facility; collect samples from a representative number of random locations in accordance with the AHERA guidelines; and prepare a written report detailing findings of the inspection. Mr. Jimmy Carr, an AHERA trained and Colorado certified asbestos inspector (20677), conducted the asbestos survey on October 7 and 8, During the survey, Mr. Carr collected a representative number of samples from each readily accessible homogeneous area in a random manner representative of the homogeneous suspect materials sampled. In accordance with United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Regulation 40 CFR (a) (3-4), H&H conducted the following activities during our asbestos survey: visually inspected the site building to identify the locations of suspected ACMs; touched the ACMs to determine the friability of the material; identified homogeneous areas of friable and non-friable ACMs; and collected and submitted bulk samples of potential ACMs to a laboratory for analysis. 3 Mr. Doug Siska November 13, 2013 Page 3 three, five, and seven bulk samples are to be collected from interior and exterior surfacing materials with volumes totaling 1,000 square ft, 1,000 to 5,000 square ft, and greater than 5,000 square feet, respectively; three bulk samples are to be collected from each material identified as thermal system insulation (TSI). TSI that was identified by the inspector as fiberglass or as a non-suspect material was not sampled; and two bulk samples are to be collected from TSI that is patched, cemented pipe elbow material commonly found on TSI joints, and miscellaneous and non-friable materials (including floor tile, ceiling tile, and exterior siding). For each homogeneous area, H&H directed the laboratory to stop analysis on that material in the event of a positive asbestos detection. H&H collected samples of the following suspect ACMs identified during our survey: exterior surfacing materials interior surfacing materials ceiling tiles (two homogeneous areas) drywall, tape, and joint compound (three homogeneous areas) vinyl backing with black mastic attached to fiberglass insulation (two homogeneous areas) shoe molding (two homogeneous areas) vinyl floor covering roof sealant on metal roofing (three homogeneous areas) felt layer below cement shingle roof The exterior of the BMW pre-owned and service building is constructed primarily of glass and metal per BMW company specifications. The BMW new vehicle showroom is constructed with exterior stucco surfacing, interior slate floor, wood ceiling, and cement roof tiles. 4 Mr. Doug Siska November 13, 2013 Page Asbestos Detections Samples collected from the suspect ACMs were submitted to Carolina Environmental Inc. (CEI) s of Cary, NC. CEI is a National Voluntary oratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) certified laboratory. Based on the AHERA guidelines, 46 samples were analyzed by the laboratory from 16 homogenous areas associated with the two buildings. The analytical data indicate that none of the homogeneous materials sampled contain asbestos at concentrations >1% and by definition are the sampled suspect materials are not ACMs. The complete asbestos analytical results are included as Appendix A. 4.0 Recommendations and Limitations Prior to the scheduled demolition activities, H&H recommends providing a copy of the asbestos survey to the contractor. This report is an inspection report only and must not be taken as a project design plan. Also, there is the potential that other ACMs are present at the site which are not readily accessible (i.e., wall or column interiors, etc.). If other suspect ACMs are identified during demolition activities, they should be sampled to determine asbestos content and properly managed.
