2 Welcome to February - April at IKEA IKEA PRESS PACKAGE / FEBRUARY - APRIL 2015 / 2 With the new year, IKEA is bringing some seasonal freshness to the home, with some exciting new products to help welcome the season in style. The bedroom has the most new products this time around with a big modern furniture family, an origami inspired bed and a range of bright, inviting textiles. For the rest of the house there s a big new focus on refreshing the home with creative lamps, bright bathroom textiles even a range of bold, new dining tables. There s plenty more too, so have a look and see the new products we re most excited about this from February and April from IKEA.

We were both really inspired by the clean aesthetic of Japanese design especially the sharp graphic folds of origami pieces. We went with that idea to make a bed that s classic and clean almost unassuming but still with a strong character. Characterised by their diversity, the textiles cover a broad style expression from bold, dandelion inspired prints to soft, checkered patterns and neutral tones. 19 IKEA PRESS PACKAGE / FEBRUARY - APRIL 2015 / 19 RISATORP kitchen trolley & baskets PH For the new RISATORP kitchen trolley, designer Wiebke Braasch wanted to combine a trolley that was also perfect for storing fruits and vegetables. I started sketching the trolley with three different sized shelves in easy-to-clean metal mesh. The mesh structure secures a good ventilation so that fruit and veges stay fresher, longer and maybe even inspiring people not to forget to eat them! I hope that RISATORP will be used in the rest of the home too, wherever there s a need for a small mobile storing unit.
