2 ABOUT PARISWHO The Paris World Health Organization Simulation (ParisWHO) is a 3-day student-led conference hosted in beautiful Paris, France by members of the Secretariat & EHESP. As the hub of all public health networks, this annual event will be the third of its kind in Paris and will follow the configuration of a traditional World Health Organization simulation. With the idea to gather students & young professionals from all over the world with various academic and professional disciplines, ParisWHO aims to introduce and educate students with the realistic roles of a WHO World Health Assembly meeting. This event will provide participants with an opportunity that goesbeyond classroom teachings or literature based research projects in global health policy. ParisWHO simulation fills a gap in our public health education, while also serving as a call to health professionals and students from other fields to become proactivein global health policy. 2

3 WELCOME LETTER Dear Delegates, On behalf of this year s secretariat, I welcome everyone to the third edition of the Paris World Health Organization Simulation. We are excited to bring together bright, enthusiastic and engaged students from all over the world for this conference in one of the most beautiful cities in the world! You will have the opportunity to enjoy the history, culture, art and delicious food this city has to offer. Over the next 3 days, you will have the opportunity to debate, discuss and find solutions to some of the most pertinent health issues we are facing today. We believe that participating in a World Health Assembly simulation is an enriching and innovative pedagogical experience that will provide an extra dimension to your classroom learning. By actively participating in the creation of comprehension resolutions, you will learn important skills of diplomacy, policy creation and debate, which will be beneficial for any field of work you enter in the future. We are excited for you to meet like-minded undergraduate, graduate and professional students from across France, Europe and abroad, all who are just as interested in the global health concerns that exist today. These participants represent all corners of the world but will work together to propose new resolutions to our theme: Environmental Health. I would like to thank my amazing team that has worked relentlessly to make this conference possible. Many thanks go out to the Dais for their work and preparation to best moderate the conference, and the speakers for their captivating talks on this important topic. When planning what to see in Paris, it can be hard to find the hidden gems amongst the hundreds of places to visit. From world famous lures such as the Eiffel Tower, to tucked away places such as the Crypte Archeologique, there are so many things to do in Paris. Some museums: Musée du Louvre, Musée d'orsay, Musée des Invalides, Musée de Cluny, Musée de l'orangerie, Centre Pompidou, Musée Picasso, Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris Museum of Natural History.
