In a good design, form follows function. That means we must first take into account your needs, wants, and constraints, then tie them all together and create a landscape both looks great and works for you! So remember, as you gaze over those garden books, a successful garden begins with a plan designed around your individual needs and tastes. leaf believes the best way to understand your vision is to collect as much relevant information as possible. We accomplish this through a questionnaire, and more importantly, an onsite visit by one of our trained landscape designers. In over 25 years in business in the Indianapolis area, we have found through extensive project experience a positive project outcome starts with a well designed landscape plan. This landscape plan takes time and professional staff to develop, and usually involves a significant amount of investment on the part of the client and leaf. Our design process is comprehensive and detailed, and usually includes multiple site visits, digital photography or video, various sketches and drawings, proper product representation, and a series of client/designer meetings. As a result, leaf has developed a series of design levels to accommodate our client base, with various levels of design to accomplish projects ranging in size and scope. Please read through the following descriptions to determine which level of design you think you may require for your landscape project (please check at least one): LEVEL 1 - MicroDesign - $200 Level 1 design fee includes a simple design of a small patio space, planting bed, or lighting area (for example). This drawing is usually black and white, in a simplified line drawing or sketch. This design level is usually reserved for the smallest of projects require some sort of drawing for client approval. This level 1 design would come included with an accompanying design packet including the project parameters, estimates, and product data.
