2 A is the Vision for buildings, lands, open spaces and infrastructure Framework for the shape and development of the campus built environment driven by the University mission Guide by which all physical plans follow
3 This plan update includes: Refinements to the previous master plan increasing emphasis on sustainability documenting refined priorities illustrating physical changes since the 2003 plan A scenario that illustrates space needs based on a set of growth projections quantified by use of a consensus built modeling tool A documented framework that shapes the development of the campus built environment provides a timeless guide for land use decision making emphasizes open space planning in capital planning
4 Goals and Objectives 1. Create a physical environment that enhances the learning, working and living experiences of campus users. 2. Establish land use strategies to support future programs and facilities needs. 3. Organize and plan for exterior spaces. 4. To support teaching, research, student life and outreach programs with adequate facilities. 5. Reduce the physical and environmental impact of vehicular circulation and parking on campus. 6 Be good stewards of the earthand its 6. Be good stewards of the earth and its natural resources.
