The capability of the Company extends from 36kV including 11kV sub-station, package sub-station, LV switchboards, motor control centres, busbar systems, both fused and circuit breaker distribution products, intelligent distribution and lighting control systems, transient voltage surge suppression, power factor correction equipment and electrical accessories. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT A continuous policy of research and development has enabled us to maintain a product range that is in line with the latest demands of the market place. Use of the latest CAD/CAM techniques and manufacturing technology including sophisticated on-line test equipment help translate design concepts into reliable finished products. TOTAL QUALITY Quality assurance is of paramount importance to all at MEM. Our manufacturing sites have stringent quality systems and are independently assessed and accredited to BS EN ISO9001 standards. Our test laboratories in the UK have the capacity to carry out short circuit tests up to 22kA at 415V accredited by ASTA and in Holland the capacity to carry out short circuit tests up to 100kA at 690V accredited by KEMA and certified by LOVAG. PROJECT MANAGEMENT Our extensive product range allows us to offer a cost effective solution for the complete distribution requirements of small, medium and large commercial and industrial buildings no matter how complex. We offer a total project management capability covering our complete range of products, allowing integration of manufacture to meet project delivery dates ensuring that switchgear is delivered in line with the construction plan. 6 MEDIUM VOLTAGE SWITCHGEAR POWER QUALITY MANAGEMENT Medium Voltage products for voltage levels up to 36,000 volts. Holec switchgear systems and components play an essential part in the electricity distribution networks and the power supply of industrial plants, especially where an extensive degree of flexibility, reliability and safety is required. The design, manufacture and service procedures comply with the highest quality and safety standards to meet the most stringent customers' specifications. CUBICLE SWITCHBOARDS Comply with BS 5486: Part 1 (EN , 1990). Forms of separation are Form 2 and Form 4. Designed to offer circuit protection solutions with both HRC fuse and circuit breaker technologies. Vertical/horizontal busbars are ASTA certified for short circuit performance up to 4,000A for 3 seconds. IP31 as standard, higher IP ratings available up to IP54. Front or rear access. Switchboards can incorporate: ACBs, MCCBs, Fuse-switchdisconnectors, contactors, fuseboards, MCB boards, Power factor correction and other ancillary equipment to customers specifications. Packaged substations and Modular Switchboards and Motor Control Centres. Power factor correction equipment and active control of harmonics. By installing power factor correction capacitors certain types of machinery or equipment can be operated more efficiently. Transient voltage surge suppression A full range of AC power surge suppressors for commercial and industrial applications. BUSBAR TRUNKING SYSTEMS Due to the wide selection of ratings, components and tap-off units offered by the Mempower range our specialised service includes a dedicated Autocad system used specifically for application design. We can advise on any customer requirements, ensuring an accurate and cost-effective solution whatever the installation. Busbar ratings from 25A to 5000A. MODULAR PANELBOARD SYSTEM MCCB PANELBOARDS Choice of creating a simple panelboard or a comprehensive system. More flexible than a conventional panelboard, more economical than a cubicle switchboard. Modular construction allows on site assembly. Wide choice of protective devices include MCCB s, fused combination switches and MCB s. Panelboards and pan assemblies are manufactured to IEC439-1, BS EN which accept bolt-on outgoing single pole or triple pole MCCBs. MCCBs designed to IEC947-2, BS EN Panelboards available with busbars up to 800A. Simple extension to accommodate future requirements. Form 2 type 2 as standard with option of up to Form 4 Type 2. 7 MCB DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM High performance current limiting MCBs with the ability to disconnect short circuits up to 10kA. Current ratings from 1A to 63A, designed and tested to BS EN and IEC-898. Distribution boards comply with BS EN IEC A unique residual current pod can be fitted to any SP or SPSN MCB to form an RCBO (combined MCB/RCD). SP HRC fuse carriers can be fitted, incorporating a BS 1361 HRC fuse with a facility for a spare fuse contained in the carrier. INDUSTRIAL SWITCH AND FUSEGEAR Fuse-switch-disconnectors. LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEMS The products will control tungsten, low voltage, 50Hz fluorescent, high frequency fluorescent, 1-10 volt ballasts and PC-A ballasts. The system uses a two wire 12 volt Safe Extra Low Voltage (SELV) Bus and there are no special cable requirements. Switch - disconnectors & switch - disconnector fuses. Busbar chamber system. Local isolators. Fused combination switches. Bypass switches. D-BUS INTELLIGENT BUILDING CONTROLS D-Bus is the ideal solution for the integrated control of lighting, heating, ventilation, security and safety systems and the use of ECHELON LONWORKS protocol makes it fully compatible with other manufacturer s products. MOTOR CONTROL GEAR A versatile and comprehensive range of motor control gear is available providing a multitude of configurations and optional features. A twisted pair of cables is all that is required to carry data which enables the system s accessories to operate in conjunction with each other, without the need of a central controller. The system provides monitoring and control by: time based controller, interface to BMS or PC Windows based monitoring and control. SECURITY PRODUCTS Passive infra-red detector provides high performance head-on detection pattern and includes the following features: Range 15m over a full 180. Switching capacity of 3500W tungsten or tungsten-halogen inductive lamps, minimum load 15VA. 7
