2 Standardization Roadmap on Industry 4.0 The Standardization Council Industry 4.0 organizes and coordinates the development of the Standardization Roadmap (at present: Version 2) All relevant stakeholders in the field of Industry 4.0 are included in the development process Experts from both the public and private sectors are engaged in drawing up the Standardization Roadmap The Standardization Roadmap is continually revised and published 2018, DIN e. V. 2

3 Standardization Roadmap on Industry 4.0 Summarizes ongoing activities and the work resulting out of these activities Gives an overview of all relevant stakeholders Gives a comprehensive overview of the current status of standardization Lists existing standards and specifications Outlines the need for further standardization and gives recommendations for action Roadmap is currently under review Version 3 to be released by April 2018 Current Version available for download: , DIN e. 4 DIN SPEC Reference Architecture Model RAMI4.0 is a reference architecture model for semantic technologies and their benefits for automation and its associated technologies. One of the fundamental ideas on RAMI4.0 is the grouping and description of highly diverse aspects in a common model. RAMI4.0 permits step by step migration from the world of today to that of I4.0, and the definition of application domains with special stipulations and requirements. 5 DIN SPEC Taxonomy of Rules and Regulations in Smart Data This DIN SPEC presents a classification framework for technical rules, specifications and solutions, economic models and guidelines, laws and legal regulations, other documents describing requirements or guidance in technical, economic or legal areas for products & services within the field of Smart Data. 2018, DIN e. 6 DIN SPEC Network-architecture to protect highly sensitive data DIN SPEC was developed to enrich ISO/IEC framework. It specifies a relatively simple, but effective network-architecture, against non-authorized access and manipulation. It is a system composed of a three server architecture. One connected to the internet, one for access management and one for the application data. The access management level allows for controlled communication between the internet server and the application server. This DIN SPEC, proposed by an innovative start-up, is a good example to gain market visibility. AP 2018, DIN e. V. 6
