3 Oshkosh Truck Electrical Distribution System Replacement and Lighting Restoration. Design provided electrical restoration of a house originally built in 1911 and converted to an art museum. The original 200A, 120/240V, 1-phase service and a more recent 240V grounded B service were replaced with a single 208Y/120V, 3-phase, 4-wire service. The existing equipment and loads were consolidated and replaced with modern electrical equipment. All existing wiring was traced and tested for safety and the respective panelboard directories were updated. Original period-style lighting fixtures were sent out for restoration. Existing pushbutton switches were replaced throughout with new pushbutton switches. Additional lighting track with specialty fixture heads were added to accent specific pieces of artwork. Extra care was required to analyze the construction of the building being that it was unique and built fire-resistant to protect the artwork, and some walls and floors were not able to be penetrated. University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Replacement of campus 25 kv and 5kV substation equipment including two 7500 kva transformers, circuit breaker switchgear, capacitor banks, and related cable connections supplying electrical service to the campus. New equipment includes a four-bay lineup of metal-enclosed, medium voltage, air interrupter switchgear, two pad-mounted transformers, and two seven-bay lineups of metal-clad, circuit breaker distribution switchgear with weatherproof house. The existing substation service is being maintained until the new switchgear is installed and ready for switchover. University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Performed electrical engineering design for an addition and remodeling for the Student Union. Effort involved relocating the 4.16kV primary loop, ductbanks, and manholes serving the campus. University of Wisconsin Parkside. Provided electrical engineering design for an addition and remodeling for the Student Union. Design included the replacement of the existing service, phasing the work so the existing building facilities could remain operational during construction, adding emergency power and generator, and extending existing 4.16kV primary loop to new main switchboard. Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation, Madison, WI. Participated in the design of a 32,000 sq. ft. LEED Gold office building.
