Before communicating uing the HAT protocol, refer to the Uer Manual for the PH450G/ SC450G/ISC450G for detail of the parameter. HAT i a regitered trademark of FieldComm Group. What i HAT Communication? HAT Communication uperimpoe pecific waveform called HAT Communication waveform on the 4 20 ma analog ignal from a PH450G/SC450G/ISC450G to enable remote intercommunication between the online PH450G/SC450G/ISC450G and a etup tool (*). *: FieldMate, Plant eource Manager (PM), or a handheld HAT communicator uch a the 475 Field Communicator may be ued a the etup tool. It i highly recommended to ue the latet model of each etup tool. Downloading and intalling DD file To enable HAT communication between a PH450G/SC450G/ISC450G and etup tool, the device decription (DD) file of the PH450G/SC450G/ISC450G need to be intalled in the etup tool. The DD file contain the HAT communication detail and menu configuration pecific to the PH450G/SC450G/ISC450G. FieldMate contain the verion of DD file at the time when old. To download the latet verion of DD file, viit our library by clicking the following link. In thi cae, pleae ee the latet documentation for FieldMate. Obtaining and decompreing the DD file Download the DD file from Yokogawa webite. DD file are downloadable a ZIP file (when downloading from the webite of FieldComm Group, a compreed DD file will be downloaded with the name of dd.zip). Intalling the Device Decription (DD) file of FieldMate Intall the latet DD file you obtained by following the intruction decribed in the manual of FieldMate. on DD file reviion and device reviion When uing HAT communication of a PH450G/SC450G/ISC450G, it i neceary to ue the DD file that matche the reviion of the PH450G/SC450G/ISC450G device ued. Make ure to check they match before ue, a follow. (1) Checking the PH450G/SC450G/ISC450G device reviion On the main creen pre the zoom key. Pre Enter repeatedly until reviion information on the firmware and HAT device i diplayed. (2) Checking the DD file reviion DD file are tored with filename beginning with a four-digit number uch a 0102.xxxdd. The firt two digit, 01 in the example above, indicate the device reviion. The following two digit, 02 in the example above, indicate the DD reviion. Ue the latet reviion of the DD file that matche the device reviion. Connecting Setup Tool You can connect the etup tool to any junction terminal uch a one in the central control room, a converter junction box, or omewhere within the tranmiion loop, a long a the load reitance i 250 ohm or larger between the power upply and the terminal to which you want to connect the etup tool. Connect the etup tool in parallel with the load reitance.
