10 FULL DAY SEMINARS Plan Review of Fire Alarm Systems: This seminar will cover the basic alarm system areas within the IBC, IFC, and NFPA 72. Automatic Sprinkler Plan Review: This seminar will cover all the basic sprinkler system requirements from NFPA 13, IBC, and IFC. Building Code Plan Review Concepts: This seminar will cover these areas within the IBC/ IFC. Attendees will be taught the different Use Group Classifications and how to identify them, as well Mixed Use Groups will be addressed along with barrier separation walls. The next item addressed will be types of construction, IBC Table 601 & 602 allowable construction. Plan Review of Gas Suppression and Kitchen Hood Extinguishing Systems: This seminar covers the basic plan review, inspection, and system testing requirements for gas and kitchen hood suppression systems. Fire Protection Systems IBC/IFC Chapter 9: This seminar will specify when fire protection systems are required in the IBC and IFC. Additionally the design, installation, and operation of the fire protection system will be discussed. Plan Review of Fire Pumps, Standpipe Systems, and Underground Water Main Systems: This seminar covers the basic plan review, inspection, and system testing requirements for fire pumps, standpipe systems, and underground water mains. ESFR Warehouse Storage Occupancies Plan Review and Hydraulic Calculations: This seminar covers the basic plan review and inspection requirements for high piled combustible storage, classes of commodities, ESFR warehouse sprinkler systems, general storage, rack storage, pallet storage, and hydraulic calculation with densities for warehouse sprinkler systems. NFPA 25 - Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems: This seminar covers inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection as outlined by NFPA 25, 2008 edition. Plan Review of Automatic Sprinkler System Hydraulic Calculations: This course is designed to teach the fire / building code official the procedures to identify and review the hydraulic calculations for Light Hazard occupancies, Ordinary occupancies, Extra Hazard occupancies, Warehouse Storage occupancies, and 13R / 13D occupancies. Fire Department Site Plan Review: This course is designed to teach the basic requirements for site plan review. Topics include NFPA 24, underground water mains, hydrant spacing, fire lane requirements, and the outside fire flow requirements. Understanding the International Fire Code 2009 Module 1: This presentation is designed to familiarize code officials and other attendees with the organization, content and intent of fire safety requirements contained in Chapters 1 thru 6. Understanding the International Fire Code 2009 Module 2: This presentation is designed to familiarize code officials and other attendees with the organization, content and intent of fire safety requirements contained in Chapters 7 thru 10 and 46. Fire Safety Progress Inspections IFC 2009: This presentation is designed to familiarize code officials how to organize, manage, and track fire safety inspections required for projects using the IFC as a guide. The Importance of Progress Inspections on Large Projects: A Hospital Case Study IFC 2009: This presentation is designed to familiarize code officials and other attendees with the importance of organizing, managing and tracking fire safety inspections required for projects using the IFC as a guide. Understanding the Life Safety Code 2006 Module 1: This presentation is designed to familiarize code officials and other attendees with the basic concepts of life and fire safety as well as organization and use of the code. Understanding the Life Safety Code 2006 Module 2: This presentation is designed to familiarize code officials and other attendees with the fundamental concepts of means of egress and the application of these concepts. 10

Learn how to submit plans correctly for approval the first time around. Idle Pallet Storage: This course is designed to teach the fire / building code official to identify pallet storage types and the different hydraulic densities based on pallet storage height, arrangement, and combustibility. Most Common Mistakes on Automatic Sprinkler / Systems / Fire Alarm Systems: These courses are designed to teach fire / building officials the common design mistakes to look for when doing a plan review of sprinkler and fire alarm systems. 13D Is For Me: This course is designed to teach the basic fire sprinkler requirements for single family homes. Items covered are design and installation, water supply, spacing of sprinklers, system components, and typical 13D sprinkler systems plans. NFPA 13D Sprinkler Systems for Residential & Townhomes: This one hour webinar is designed to help participants understand the IRC and IBC/ IFC requirements for residential sprinkler systems including sprinklers, sprinkler spacing, obstruction rules, water supplies, and types of piping systems. NFPA 13D is the standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in one- and two-family dwellings and manufactured homes. Flammable Liquids Storage: This course is based on IFC Section Technical assistance. Topic will cover specific fl ammable liquids storage and dispensing requirements based on the 2006 International Building Code (IBC) and International Fire Code (IFC). Plan Review of Portable Fire Extinguishers: This course is designed to teach the fire / building code official the basic requirements to review portable fire extinguisher selection, spacing, proper use, inspections, and plan review.
