That depends a good deal on where you want to go, said the Cat. I don t much care where, said Alice. Then it doesn t matter which way you go, said the Cat. Lewis Carroll, Thursday, April 27, Pasadena Why you should become a licensed professional control system engineer Kathryn McChesney, P. E., has the type of job engineers throughout Southern California dream about as Imagineer on the Ride Control Software team at Walt Disney Imagineering in Glendale. She also received her California Professional Engineer license after passing the State exam in October Currently working on the new Star Wars Land expansion, Kathryn previously worked for Solar Turbines in San Diego as a Control Systems Engineer. She holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, and lives in Glendale with her fiancé, Taylor, and dog, Sophie. In addition to giving us an insider s look at Disney, Kathryn will talk about the CSE PE license with special information for those of us who are working as engineers and engineering students who are considering applying to take the PE exam this fall. This is timely because the exam application deadline for new applicants is May 1st. continued on page 2 Increase your job security, income: become a certified control system technician (CCST ) this year Learn the Practical Value to Companies and Technicians, How to Get Certified & What Special Skills Are Required? Ask about the special 75% discount. Due to unforeseen delays, the first session planned for April 29 is being reschedule for May. At press time the date had not yet be set. Info will be posted at Get on the list for info by sending your contact info to training@isala.org. Subsidized by the Los Angeles Section, this course will be held on a series of Saturday mornings.
