2 CASH PREMIUMS: will be available on Park St. west of the main gate Monday - Saturday, September 3 8, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. After September 11, 2018 awards will be given out only during regular office hours and may be picked up at the E.I.S.F. Main Office. Premiums not claimed by September 28, 2018 will be considered a donation and will revert back to the Fair s general fund. SPECIAL DEPARTMENT RULES: A. Flowers will be judged on quality of blossom, foliage, arrangement and stem. NO ARTIFICIAL FLOWERS WILL BE ALLOWED. Only flowers from the home garden are eligible. B. Only one entry accepted in each class from any one exhibitor. ONLY ONE FLOWER SPECIMEN CAN BE ENTERED IN ANY ONE CLASS. ANY DUPLICATE ENTRIES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. IF A CATEGORY IS LISTED FOR A FLOWER, IE) ROSEMALLOW, IT CAN ONLY BE ENTERED IN THAT SPECIFIC CATEGORY, AND CANNOT BE ENTERED IN THE OTHER CATEGORY AS WELL. THE OTHER CATEGORIES ARE ONLY FOR THOSE ENTRIES THAT DO NOT BELONG IN ANY OTHER LISTED CATEGORY. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU HAVE AN EXTRA PETUNIA BOUQUET YOU CAN T ENTER IT IN THE Other Category. It will be disqualified. If you do not know the name of a specimen you are entering, ask a department worker before entering it in an Other category. When using your own containers, be sure to place a colored sticker (provided) on front of entry tag. A limited number of containers are available for your use. D. The Supervisor shall have the right to remove at any time any exhibits or parts thereof which are unsightly. E. IF ENTERING A NAMED ROSE, SUNFLOWER, OR OTHER SPECIFIC FLOWER VARIETY, PLEASE SPECIFY NAME ON BACK OF ENTRY TAG. If entering a flower variety not listed, specify the name on the entry tag. F. NO NEW OR ADDITIONAL CATEGORIES WILL BE ALLOWED DURING OR PRIOR TO ENTERING, ONLY CLASSES LISTED IN EXHIBITOR HANDBOOK WILL BE ALLOWED. H. Exhibitors are urged to replace their exhibits with fresh flowers during the Fair on Monday or Tuesday, September 3-4, I. Awards will be made according to the merits of the entry. If no competition exists or if an entry is not worthy of 1st premium, the judge may disqualify or award 2nd, 3rd or 4th premiums at his or her discretion. Only one of each placing in any one class will be awarded unless otherwise specified. Where no competition exists but the judge deems the entry worthy of a blue ribbon, a ribbon will be awarded and entry will be entered for Special Prizes.
