1 What is grafting? Grafting is a technique to produce new plants by separating a healthy part of one plant and grafting it to the healthy part of another plant. The new grafted plant has the characteristic advantage of both plants; stronger against replant disease and stronger against pests as well as higher productivity, producing easy-grow-young plants. <Advantages of grafting> 1. Increases productivity. Larger harvests to gather. 2. Minimizes plant disease and pest investation. 3. Increases quality of harvests (better taste for vegitables/better blooms for flowers). 4. Yeilds a better harvest to sell at top prices. 5. Our low cost graft tubes are a quality product with outstanding performance for the cost. Scion: a plant that produces delicious fruits or vegetables. Rootstock: a plant that has good roots and is strong against diseases. Produces a healthy grafted nursery plant which has advantages of both the desirable scion and strong rootstock. Grafting technique is often used for tomatoes, egg plants, pumpkins, cucumbers, kidney beans, peas, melons, green peppers, chilies, paprika and etc.

2 How to use 1. First cut the stem of rootstock to a 25 angle with our clean Takigen Grafting Cutter, using our Takigen Seedling Cuttting Jig as your guide. Then insert the new cut rootstock into our clean Takigen Graft Tube. 2. Next cut the scion stem with a clean Takigen Grafting Cutter on a 25 angle and insert into the Takigen Graft Tube to fit next to the roostock stem. 3. Adjust the two stems by pushing the scion stem gently but firmly next to the rootstock stem in our Takigen Graft Tube so that the cut ends match exactly. 4. Spray clean water around our Takigen Graft Tube tocomplete the grafting process. Graft tubes CP-601 CHARACTERISTICS OF GRAFT TUBES 2. Increases workability: easy to insert from either end of tube. Tube is also pliable enough to pull open, surround the graft and resilient enough to bend back to shape around graft sight. 3. Graft tube tapers at both ends so there is no damage to either the scion or rootstock. 4. Inside diameter: φ0.055"(1.4mm), φ0.067"(1.7mm), φ0.079"(2.0mm), φ0.091"(2.3mm) ( 4 sizes) 5. 3 Graft tubes with a handle CP Increasing workability with a handle. 3. Bottom line of handle shows center of graft tube. 4. The graft tube with a handle/grip tapers at both ends to prevent damage to the scion and the rootstock. 5. The graft tube with a handle/grip is cut diagonally. making it easy to insert scion and rootstock into graft tube from both ends for an easy graft connection.. 6. Inside diameter: φ0.055"(1.4mm), φ0.067"(1.7mm), φ0.079"(2.0mm), φ0.091"(2.3mm) (4 sizes) 7. Made in Japan of non-toxic Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) plastic. Inner dia. The center marking serves as a guide of the grafting part. 4. The supporter is capable of simply attaching to the supporting rod for the stem. 5. The graft tube has tapers at both ends so that it does not damage the scion and rootstock. 6. The graft tube is cut diagonally so that it is easy to insert scion and rootstock into the tube. 7. Inside diameter: φ0.067"(1.7mm), φ0.079"(2.0mm), φ0.091"(2.3mm) (3 sizes) 8. Material: Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) Inner dia.
