Place to be in the City The FRITZ is located in the heart of Düsseldorf. The Koenigsallee and the Rhein River promenade are only a stone s throw away an ideal starting point for the exploration of all the renowned galleries, boutiques, and art collections for which the German design and fashion metropolis is famous. In collaboration with Dutch investors, hotel director Eva Herrmann developed this triple concept made up of a stylish boutique hotel, the gourmet restaurant FRITZ s FRAU FRANZI with top chefs Benjamin Kriegel and Robert J.K. Kranenborg, and a bar

2 that is excellently prepared for any outburst of joie de vivre. World cuisine paired with a touch of experimentalism and exquisite drinks await the revellers. Opposites Attract The design carries the handwriting of Dutch interior designer Vivian van Schagen. She accomplished the combination of different materials and styles without becoming inconsistent. The interior breaks through conventional boundaries and plays with contrasts: cold marble meets warm wood, clear lines meet audacious floral patterns, and gold juxtaposes black, white royal blue. An eye for the whole defines the rooms just as much as the attention to detail. THE FRITZ is more than a hotel concept; it is a cosmopolitan collection of ideas, experiences, and people. THE FRITZ lets guests come home and local visitors become cosmopolitans, explains the designer. Individual Bathroom Ensemble Good quality treats the guests from the lobby to the culinary area and up to the 31 rooms. For those who spend the night in one of the comfortable king-size beds, enveloped by temperatureregulating bamboo covers, can look forward to sweet dreams. Natural and anti-allergic materials, such as toppers made of horsehair and Swiss pure new wool, are part of the standard facilities alongside high-grade natural cosmetics. In the bathrooms, AXOR and hansgrohe fixtures and showers demonstrate how perfection and elegance go hand in hand: the high-rising versions of the single-lever hansgrohe Talis taps allow freedom of movement at the washbasins. And for those who would like to relax under a warm rain shower after an extensive stroll through the city can do so with the hansgrohe Raindance Air overhead showers. The circular AXOR ShowerSelect thermostat allows for the comfortable switching between overhead shower and AXOR Starck baton hand shower at the push of a button. Finishing off the bathroom setting are timeless-elegant shelves from the AXOR Universal Accessories range designed by Antonio Citterio. Golden Modernity All fixtures were manufactured with the exclusive gold optic finish in an elaborate PVD process. The PVD or Physical Vapor Deposition technology uses inert gases under laboratory conditions; they are ignited in an intense magnetic field, generate vapour, and thus coat with an exclusive finish. It is then particularly scratch-proof and resistant to cleaning detergents and

3 other external influences. Aesthetically, the fixtures complement a design accent which runs through the entire hotel: the colour gold. It can be found in furniture accessories in the rooms, in the wall design of the bar, and in the hotel letters on the façade. Despite its golden eyecatchers, the colour scheme remains discreet, the style modern. It is a mixture of coolness and warmth, class and casualness, that makes THE FRITZ a new hotspot of the state capital.
