1 Ernesto Messineo Graduated in Industrial Design at the Politecnico of Milan on After some and significant experiences in Design Studios and Companies, Ernesto started his own professional activity working with various companies such as Colombo Design. He developed concepts for the companies GB Group, Prandina Illuminazione, Foscarini, Treemme Rubinetterie, Cristalleria Collevilca, Electraline, Vistosi and Mariner Rubinetterie. He recently won the workshop online Design your Sound and selected at the workshop online Curti Metallo, both organized by Youtool with the companies Sound Corporation and Curti Lamiere. In 2010 he won The copper and the house 2010 competition with the project of Rainbow vases and the competition-workshop Colombo Design calls for creativity with a collection of bathroom accessories Frame. The prototypes of it have been presented during the Salone Satellite of Milan 2010 and are still in progress for the next mass production. In 2010 Ernesto was selected as a promising young talents of italian design and included in the book Annual Young Blood Ernesto Messineo via Popoli Uniti 3, Milano tel e.messineo@gmail.com web: In 2012 Colombo Design presented the new door knob Cut and three other collections of furniture handles designed in cooperation with the architect Massimiliano Settimelli. His works have been published in magazines such as Interni, Abitare, Ottagono, Blu&Rosso, Designer, DDN, ITS News, Case e Stili, Cose di Casa and on the book Toys for chefs. This portfolio contains some of the most significant work of recent years.

2 Blow Collection Company: Curti Lamiere Year: 2012 State: In progress Selected project for the workshop online Curti Metallo organized by Youtool with the company Curti Lamiere. Description: Blow collection stems from the desire to design a very elegant and refined collection of indoor/ outdoor seating made of sheet steel by using the new technology of blowing metal. It is composed by five pieces: chair, armchair, sofa, stool and chaise longue.

Description: Blow collection stems from the desire to design a very elegant and refined collection of indoor/ outdoor seating made of sheet steel by using the new technology of blowing metal. 4 New professional speaker X-Treme Classic Line Company: Sound Corporation Group Year: 2011 State: In progress. 1 prize in the workshop online Design Your Sound organized by Youtool with the company Sound Corporation Group. Description: The intent of the workshop was to design a restyle of the professional speaker X-Treme Classic Line, considering all the inside technical components and all the restrictions and requirements of the product (stackable skate, arrangement of some products on vertical and horizontal way, rigging position).

6 Door knob Cut Company: Colombo Design S.p.a. Year: 2012 State: In production Description: Cut is a door knob inspired by the deconstructivist architecture with its pure shape moulded into a structure with a very significant visual impact. Two pure boxes seem to crystallize as soon as they start to rotate and then they merge each other.

Press: Magazine Cose di Casa n.5 (may 2012), Case e Stili (june 2011), Interni n.5 (may 2011), DDN News n.177 (may 2011), ITS News n.2 (march-april 2011) and on the book Annual Young Blood Description: This series comprises a family of vases multiplying out from two basic models (56 and 80 cm in height) through the combination of copper alloys and colours. The vases are characterised by a sinuous base terminating upwards in a band describing the material from which they are crafted. Information on the band includes the alloy family, chemical composition and surface treatment: white indicates the absence of surface treatments while black indicates a protective coat to preserve the original color of the material.

11 Handle Dune Company: Manital srl Year: 2004 State: In production from Design cooperation with Architettura Laboratorio Studio on Press: Magazine Ottagono n.180 (may 2005). Description: The Dune handle has been developed from a preliminary sketch to the executive drawings for the mass production.

12 Guru faucet Company: Webert Rubinetterie S.p.a. Year: 2007 Partecipation at 2nd TAP Industrial Design Contest. Press: Magazines Blu&Rosso n.194 (june-july 2008) and n.199 (january 2009), Designer n.99 (october 2008) and on the book The toys for chefs - Maetmedia. Description: Ushering in a new concept of preservation, this faucet is the first of this kind. Instead of letting water flow freely, it regulates flow, allowing you to only use as much as you need. With its modern styling and tinted transparent top, conservation has never looked quite so refreshing.

13 Girasole Lamp Company: Lucifero s srl Year: 2011 Winner of a special mention at La lampada di Stylemylife competition. Description: Girasole lamp is a LED table lamp for the market Contract. It consists of an opalescent diffuser glass (or girasole) and from a disk rotating upper the glass. The ignition and the control of the light intensity of the lamp is obtained by means of the rotation of the upper disk connected to a dimmer. The gesture refers to the figurative lamp logo STYLEMYLIFE (style + my + life). The diffuser is made according to some traditional techniques of Murano: incalmo, reticella filigree, a retortoli filigree. A version is also made of transparent glass.

16 Freestanding washbasin Piramide Company: Antonio Lupi Design Spa Year: 2010 Partecipation at Dressed stone water shape competition. Description: The project arises from a reflection on the bathroom environment that is becoming increasingly living-room. Hence the functional adaptation of the bathroom furniture. Four glass shelves can become storage for glasses, frames with pictures, small ornaments. The contrast between the hardness of white marble (vertical) and light /transparency of the glass (horizontal) enhances a light shape adaptable to different environments.
