8 A5 PROGRAMMING Profiling & Residential Home CLIENTS PUROSE AND NEEDS Outside from the normal bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms and kitchen present in every house. My client has a few extra needs. The clients needs a Library, a piano room, and large kitchen and a large closet space. The Larger kitchen will help the clients love for baking and the larger closet space is need to fit all the clients clothes she needs for her shows and appearances. A small space for the dog is also needed. The design of the dining room and living room need to have a clear circulation to aid the flow of people for the clients dinner parties and book club meetings. There also needs to be an additional space for her grandchildren separate from parts of the house containing valuable or expensive items. DESIGN GUIDLINES Library room on the east side of the house for lighting. Clear circulation of living and dining room. Lowe level public space and upper level private space. FEATURES OF THE PROGRAM

The area also need to have a clear circulation pathway for when the client host buffet style parties or book clubs at her residence. Adajency to the kitchen allows for easy clean up. Activity Discription Large kitchen to aid in the clients love for baking. Follows a linear/ rectangular pattern. Has clear circulation around the work triangle ro decrease trafiic near the sink, cooktop and refridgerator. Provides 10% sq footage of pantry storage. 17 LOCATION ACCESSIBILITY Venetian Road The site is located on an island, connected to the mainland by Venetian Road. The site is accesible by vehicle and foot. The South side of the property has a vehicular entrance. McArthur Causeway The North side is framed by the Intercoastal waterway. pier allows the site to be accessed by boat.

19 Intercoastal Waterway LANDSCAPE STRUCTURE The properties edges are framed by vegetation The palm trees and bamboo stalks can act as a barrier against sound from the neighboring home and the water vehicles. First Floor This building is a two story home that uses a concrete slab structure The exterior materials are composed of block The building has many windows throughout, allowing more sunlight and noise to penetrate the interior space. 20 ZONING SPATIAL QUALITY The main space spans over two stories. The tall glass windows create the illusion of the interior space blending into the exterior spcae. Public Semi Public Private Garage Bedroom Living Library Kitchen/dining The entrance is almost hidden. The threshold receses into the building
21 CONCLUSION The project will allow the space to be used for both social and private purposes, while always providing a atmosphere of comfort.. CIRCULATION The interior space will blend into the exterior space. There will be an erasure of these boundries. The design will anticipate the locations noise production, exposure to sun, and the possibility of natural phenomenon. Entrances The entrances will provide a welcoming, open atmosphere. Circulation
22 This space is designed for a popular and wealthy single women living in a single family home located a residentail area of Miami Florida. Numerous Public spaces are needed in order to house the guest of the client and also a clear distinction between public and private spaces. The public spaces will be located on the first floor designed with a clear circulation aiding in the flow of people. The second floor is the private space for the clients bedroom, relaxation lunge and closet. Also to aid the guest, the living room and dining room will be loacted on the west side of the house and the living room and library on the east allowing for a large amount of light to shine into the house creating a warm and friendly environment between the guests. The colors chosen for the house are dark, warm and soficated colors, gray, black, a pastel green and nuetral colors to contrast the bright and busy life of the client. These colors will create a sense of relaxation. Also a sheer sparkle will be used to address the clients taste for glam in her bedroom WARM CALM SOFISTICATED INVITING
