Under the strong leadership of Mr Pierre Venter, our Managing Director, who has been in the Engineering field since 1970, we assist our clients on all aspects of their Civil and/or Structural projects, from inception until completion. Bridge over Koeksister Crossing - Pretoria The bridge passes over the N4 at the entrance to Pretoria and consists of three spans of 30m, 48m and 30m. The deck consists of a double cell box section which was posttensioned in the longitudinal and transverse directions. Bridge over Crocodile River PLA was appointed for the detail design of two farm bridges, one interchange bridge and one road over river bridge. Maguga Dam - Swaziland Bridge over Crocodile River The project won the SAICE award for Technical Excellence, the SAACE award for Technical Excellence category, Construction World s Best Project Award for 2002 and the Fulton award for excellence in concrete construction. PLA is honoured to have been part of the design team on the project. PLA was appointed for the detail design and detailing of the bridge over the spillway.
