7 COFFEE, LUNCH AND TEA MONDAY 25 JUNE DIRECTIONS TO JBR FROM DARWIN BUILDING (5 minute walk) Leave Darwin Building and go straight into Path. 1. After 45 metres, turn left in to Malet Place. 2. After 55 metres you will come to an Underpass. 3. After 25 metres you will come to a large square. 4. After 21 metres, turn right in to South Junction. 5. After 9 metres, enter Wilkins Building - South Junction entrance on your left. 6. Go through a double door. 7. Immediately turn left. 8. Immediately turn left. 9. Immediately go straight up a staircase to the ground floor. 10. Go through a double door. 11. Immediately turn right. 12. Immediately turn left through a double door. 13. Immediately turn left. 14. Immediately you should reach the entrance to Wilkins Building - South Cloisters entrance from inside. 15. Continue along South Cloisters and pass through double door. 16. Turn right and continue up steps into JBR.
8 LOCATION OF THE ROYAL SOCIETY FROM UCL/FITZROVIA TRAVEL Royal Society, Carlton House Terrace Travel directions to The Royal Society from UCL/Fitzrovia By Bus: Take 29 bus from Gower Street, to Trafalgar Square. Alight, and walk in a westerly direction to the south west corner of the square, to Cockspur Street. Continue into Pall Mall then take a left into Waterloo Place. Turn right into Carlton House Terrace and the Royal Society is on the left. You will need to purchase a ticket from the ticket machine (if present) at the bus stop prior to boarding. A single journey ticket is Allow minutes travel time. By Underground: Take the Northern Line southwards from Warren Street or Goodge Street stations to Charing Cross station. Walk westwards across the south side of Trafalgar Square to Cockspur Street. Continue into Pall Mall then take a left into Waterloo Place. Turn right into Carlton House Terrace and the Royal Society is on the left. A single journey ticket is Allow minutes travel time. By Taxi: ask the driver for The Royal Society, Carlton House Terrace. Cost is likely to be approx Allow minutes travel time.
9 COFFEE AND LUNCH TUESDAY 26 JUNE DIRECTIONS TO SOUTH CLOISTERS FROM ARCHAEOLOGY BUILDING (5 minute walk) 1. Leave Archaeology Building - Main Entrance and turn right into Gordon Square. 2. After 22 metres, at the junction of Gordon Square and Gordon Street, turn right in to Gordon Street. 3. After 47 metres, at the junction of Gordon Street and entrance road, turn left in to entrance road. 4. After 36 metres, turn right in to a walkway. 5. After 9 metres, turn left in to a covered walkway. 6. After 13 metres turn left up a staircase. 7. At the top of the staircase turn left in to the roof garden. 8. After 12 metres, follow the roof garden round to the right. 9. After 22 metres go straight into the South Cloisters through corridor. 10. After 5 metres turn left. 11. After 19 metres turn right. 12. Go through a double door. 13. Immediately you should reach the entrance to Wilkins Building - South Cloisters entrance from inside.
