1 Welcome Located in the eastern part of County Tipperary, the Templemore-Thurles Municipal District has three towns within its precinct Thurles, Templemore and Roscrea. Thurles, to the south of the District is 5 km (3 miles) from the M8 (Cork Dublin) motorway. Roscrea is beside the M7 (Limerick Dublin) motorway to the north of the County and Templemore is equidistant to both the M7 and M8 motorways providing a 1-hour catchment population of 803,726. The historic town of Thurles, deep in the heart of County Tipperary, is a thriving commercial and business centre. Thurles is a fantastic place in which to live and work, nestling in the Suir river valley, bounded by the Silvermines Mountains and the rolling Slievedaragh Hills. The mild climate and the waters of the River Suir have combined to produce some of the finest agricultural land in the world in this District. While a central location in Ireland offers many advantages to business, it is equally attractive to anyone seeking a lifestyle where city-type congestion is non-existent, housing is affordable and the way of life is attractive to business people of all ages and stages in life.
