2 WMC is a small, women-owned firm that was established in 1986 and is a cer fied DBE/WBE firm in Virginia, MBE/DBE in Maryland, and a DBE cer fied firm in. WMC provides civil engineering, land planning, surveying, urban design, and development consul ng services to public and private organiza ons throughout the United States and abroad. Innova ve solu ons and sound technical advice are reflected in WMC s areas of exper se, including site selec on, design and engineering, development planning, urban and landscape design, comprehensive and environmental planning, growth management, and urban research. WMC offers a full spectrum of survey & engineering services including topographic, boundary & u lity surveying, GPS and close range photogrammetry, site design for grading, drainage, stormwater management, water, sewer, roads, paving, parking, transporta- on networks, and sedimenta on and erosion controls. The accumulated experience is na onal in scope and includes a significant number of government, design/ build, university, museums, historic structures, technical centers, research facili es, and public building projects. WMC is equally aware of the special nature and unique requirements of developmental and rehabilita on projects within historic and environmen-

WMC has completed numerous landscape and environmental assignments in communi es and jurisdic ons with unique environmental features that require innova ve development programs. WMC offers a full range of landscape architectural services for numerous project types including public parks and recrea on facili es, county-wide park and preserva on planning, mixeduse, residen al, and commercial development, as well as urban streetscapes and civic spaces. WMC has worked with the leading architectural firms, real estate developers, and general contractors in the area and have been successful in completing thousands of commercial, office, retail, and housing projects in the last 25+ years. These ranged from ght urban sites to mul ple building campus se ngs. Providing these services required exper se in topographic modifica- ons, u lity research and study; subsurface analysis, renova on studies, agency review processing and interdisciplinary coordina on.
4 Surveying Services Harbourside - House of Sweden Marrio Wardman Park Na onal Mall Turf Rehabilita on Burgundy Farms Day School Alexandria, VA WMC s surveying services u lize state-of-the-art field equipment, including Global Posi oning, Electronic Total Sta on with Data Collector, and Automa c and Digital Levels with Data Collector. Addi onally, WMC u lizes equally advanced computer technology to support this field technology and provide for a cohesive data transfer system which can be used for engineering, planning, and landscape design. WMC has the unique ability to provide a very wide range of surveying services, in a mely manner fully u lizing in-house resources. WMC is fortunate to have a District of Columbia registered surveyor leading the Survey Department. Being a registered surveyor permits that individual to record surveys in the Office of the DC Surveyor. Registered surveyors are the only surveyors that are allowed to conduct boundary surveys, loca on surveys and wall examina ons. WMC s registered surveyor acts as an agent for the Office of the DC Surveyor in the performance of the du es and provides the most accurate boundary survey.

WMC prides its self in the area of site design. In addi on to site design WMC is well equipped to provide full civil engineering services that include the design for sanitary collec on and water distribu on systems, standby power systems, roads, paving, parking, grading, drainage, stormwater management; sedimenta on and erosion control, ligh ng plans, and landscaping plans. and Federal agencies for review and approval of plans, as well as other requested mee ngs such as public bodies and community groups. As a rou ne prac ce, progress drawings are presented for review and comment at 30%, 60% and 90% comple on stages prior to the comple on of Construc on Documents for final submission. WMC s services also include representa on before local, State
6 Landscape Architecture Services Jefferson at Marketplace 601 Massachuse s Avenue, NW 901 K Street, NW Union Row WMC key staff have completed numerous landscape architectural projects with unique environmental features and development programs. The Landscape Architecture Studio has designed public parks, recrea on facili es, streetscapes, urban plazas, and mixed-use commercial and residen al complexes. WMC has taken a strong stance on integra on of green strategies into projects to assist in stormwater management and to promote environmental health. From large scale campus plans to small scale in mate courtyards, the Landscape Architecture Studio has successfully completed and con nues to work on exci ng projects in the Washington DC area and beyond. Exper se also includes comple ng varying low impact design landscape strategies in unique urban environments. The design and implementa on of these advanced stormwater treatments have proved to be beneficial crea ng urban greenspace while helping to reduce the load on the centralized stormwater system. WMC s design is driven by standards and guidelines to fully customized design. In addi on, it is rou ne for staff to develop drawings and oversee construc on to ensure a successful completed site.
7 LEED Services Lafaye e Tower - Pla num Cer fied 901 K Street, NW - Gold Cer fied 2200 at Pennsylvania Avenue - Gold Cer fied WMC has prac ced environmental stewardship on projects that have larger land areas through which the site design condi ons can allow for crea ve land use ideas in such forms as stormwater infiltra on and bioreten on, pervious pavements and grasscrete surfaces, recycled res and concrete aggregates, tree preserva- on even with addi onal costs, excess tree plan ngs for solar screening, reuse of sanitary sewage for irriga on, and other adap ve techniques. WMC will evaluate the site prior to the start of design to determine if any environmental opportuni es Walter Reed Recrea on Center - Silver Cer fied Arlington, VA exist or if addi onal opportuni es can be created through the use of Green Design.

The site design of K-12 facili es include the design of athle c fields, walkways, access roads, u lity access for future buildings, site circula on layout, among other things. This experience has included unique requirements such as designing Lafaye e Tower, the first LEED Pla num rated building in Washington, DC. WMC s experience not only includes the development of single structure office buildings but 901 K Street, NW also involves large scale office development such as Sta on Place Buildings I & II, totalling 750,000 sq.
14 Military Experience Armed Forces Medical Examiners System Facility Dover, DE Pentagon Arlington, VA Walter Reed Army Medical Center Over the course of WMC s history WMC has worked on over 20 military facili es for military branches including the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Air Force. WMC has provided services under IDIQ contracts as well as single solicited design build projects. WMC s experience includes a large number of significant monuments, museums, and theaters. Along with the projects highlighted to the le WMC s project experience includes Washington Monument Grounds Renova on and Security United States Ins tute of Peace project, Na onal Museum of the American Indian, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Na onal Sculpture Garden, and mul ple projects for the Smithsonian Ins tu on and addi onal private and public ins tu- ons.
16 International Experience US Embassy Moscow, Russia US Embassy Luanda, Angola US Embassy Kathmandu, Nepal WMC has provided site development services for sites in countries across mul ple Con nents. These projects have included US Embassies in Africa, Europe, and Asia. Addi onal interna onal projects were performed for Federal clients in loca- ons that are required to remain confiden al. US Embassy Tirana, Albania All of these projects required that extensive security measures be in place in order to assure safety for personnel and visitors.

This area was an unu lized industrial area and is now the fastest growing neighborhood in Washington, DC, which sprawled by the opening of the New York Avenue Metro sta on in K Street, NE As of late, NoMa is roughly 50% built out or under construc on, with 16 million sq inclusive of 2 hotels, 2,700 residen al units, and 200,000 sq of retail.

WMC has assisted the design team, providing civil engineering, surveying, and/or landscape architecture services for the projects, involving engineering analysis, soil and erosion control, Washington Dulles Interna onal Airport Main Terminal Sta on Dulles, Virginia drainage design and permi ng, and track layout amongst other things. In addi on some projects involved fast-tracking and mely design which was vital for the success of these projects.

Past experience includes design of new infrastructures and reloca on design for projects that involves u lity purveyors. WMC has relocated mul ple sewers up to 12 in diameter, water mains up to 36 in diameter, and internally surveyed and studied White House Infrastructure Improvements tunnels up to 23 in diameter. WMC s experience and knowledge is unmatched by any other local civil engineering and surveying firm due to their immense experience working on thousands of projects within the metropolitan area in the last 25+ years.
