Lee Center, Alexandria, VA. The meeting was called to order by Soror Rhonda Luss, Basileus at 10:00 am. Meditation: Led by Soror Regina Hawkins. Tellers: Soror Darhyl Jasper, Chairman Announced that voting will be rendered by ballot, beginning promptly at 10:15 AM, and ending at 11:15 AM. There are no mail-in ballots. All financially active chapter members listed on the current membership roster may vote. Parliamentarian: Soror Kendra Riley Announced that each candidate must get a majority vote, which is one-half the voting strength plus one.
2 Thus, in the event that no one receives a majority vote, it will be necessary to repeat the balloting for the office. This repeat balloting is done without dropping the name (s) of the individuals (s) with the fewest votes until one individual receives a majority. Reading and Disposition of October Minutes: Soror Patricia Edwards, Grammateus Change date at the top of the minutes to Saturday, November 4, 2017 MOTION: Soror VaShawn Guice Veal moved to adopt the minutes with the noted correction. Report is also in the Ivyette. Target I Thanked Golden Soror Margarette Peterson for serving as chairman of the Hurricane Relief Efforts. Over 100 backpacks/drawstring bags with school and hurricane relief supplies were delivered to Houston on October 27, Target III-Soror Melonie Barrington Bi-monthly Meal Service-Residential Program Center and Carpenter Shelter scheduled. Senior Citizens Luncheon-Soror Jessica Sims and Soror Darlena Ricks -Senior Citizens Luncheon scheduled for December 9, 2017, at Drew Model Elementary School in Arlington, VA, from 11:30 AM-2:20 PM -AARP will provide 150 goodie bags, 5 gift baskets for the raffle, and literature for the display table. -18 Centers and Churches received invitations -Sorors are asked to donate $5 gift cards for the Senior Citizens Target IV Playground Mobilization Day was held on October 21, Approximately 12 sorors diligently worked at Doctors Run Park and Holmes Run Park. 2

The attire is Black (no pants) with Green or Pink accents. Tickets are $45 for Chapter Sorors and $50 for Non-Chapter Sorors. Tickets will be available for purchase from October 7 th - November 17 th. A You Go, Soror was extended to newly initiated Soror Telia Johnson, who has graciously volunteered to run the technology slides during the October and November chapter meetings. A You Go, Soror can be given to any Soror who has exhibited extraordinary sisterly behavior. If you would like to recognize a soror, please the Sisterly Relations committee. Music-Soror Aretha Cunningham MOTION: By the direction of the Music Committee, Soror Aretha Cunningham moved that the Zeta Chi Omega Chapter provide non-monetary support to get I Carry the Light included in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Ceremonial Song Book- Singing Our Songs through the Years. The IFNV has received full or partial payment for seven prospective debutantes The 2018 Cotillion is scheduled for April 14, Soror Jennifer Hansborough presented information on the 2017 Luncheon Fashion Show, scheduled for Sunday, November 12, 2017, at the McLean Hilton.
