2 Notes on the device description The description contains instructions on using and assembling the Ambient Air Humidity and Temperature Probes HT12 and HTF12. In case of questions which cannot be clarified with this device description, please refer to the supplier or manufacturer for further information. The indicated installation instructions/regulations are valid in the Federal Republic of Germany. When utilizing the devices in other countries, the builder or operator of the plant is responsible for the observation of the respective national regulations. The operating staff is to be instructed in accordance with the description of the technical data sheet. Safety Instructions When mounting and utilizing the devices, the respective worker s protection rules, regulations for prevention of accidents and VDE rules shall be observed Any work concerning the assembly, installation or initial operation of the devices shall be exclusively carried out by qualified specialists, see section Qualified specialists. Every person utilizing the devices shall have read and understood the descriptions in the technical data sheet. Meaning of the symbols in the technical data sheet: Danger Warning of dangerous electrical voltage Danger means mortal danger, severe bodily injuries or serious material damage in case of non-observance. Qualified specialists Qualified specialists for the purposes set out in this technical data sheet are persons who are familiar with the described devices and possess a qualification for their respective occupation. These are for instance: Authorization to connect the devices according to the local regulations and authorization to switch the devices on and off taking the in-house regulations into account. Knowledge of the regulations for prevention of accidents. Knowledge of the utilization of the devices within the plant system. etc. Page 2 / 8

3 Application The Ambient Air Humidity and Temperature Probes HT12 and HTF12 serve to continuously seize the relative air humidity and ambient temperature in housing space and business premises. The probes can be operated in connection with all Kieback & Peter regulators and regulation systems containing analogue V entries and sensor connections for the active measuring unit KP10. As an additional feature, the set-point adjuster of the Ambient Air Humidity and Temperature Probe HTF12 enables the setting of the required ambient temperature. 4 Assembly The assembly of the combined Ambient Air Humidity and Temperature Probes HT12 and HTF12 can be wallmounting or buried wiring respectively. For a quick and correct detection of the room temperature the room probe shall be installed as to be able to detect the airflow in the room. The vent slots of the hood must be located vertically above one another. 5 Installation Danger Electric installation and probe connection shall be carried out by qualified experts only. Before connecting the Ambient Air Humidity and Temperature Probe to the regulation unit, the switchboard shall be switched voltage-free. In this context, the regulations of the VDE (Association of German Electro technical Engineers) as well as the local regulations shall be observed. The Ambient Air Humidity and Temperature Probes HT12 and HTF12 contain perforated bases and caps for connection purposes. These pieces can be tweaked out in order to insert cables.
