3 1. Product Description The SG 200 is an acoustic signaling device with an electronic tone generator and is designed for connection to fire panels. 2. Functional Description The integrated tone generator offers a selection of 28 tone variants, including various wailing tones, diverse signals for fire alarm (e.g. the DIN tone according to EN 457 / DIN 33404) and other special modulations. The programming/coding is undertaken via a five pin DIP switch in the signaling device. With a selected tone type, on activation of the second input, the second tone type is switched on. The volume can be set continuously via an integrated potentiometer. Depending on the tone type, volume set, and operating voltage, the sound pressure level varies between 93 db(a) and 114 db(a). Monitored connection to fire panels is possible. The bayonet lock enables simple mounting. Page 3 of 10

Planning Notes Can be connected to the following fire panels: BZ 500 LSN UEZ 1000 LSN UEZ 2000 UGM 2020 For connection to monitored control lines with acknowledgement the signaling device must be operated via a universal switching relay UAR. For connection to monitored control lines without acknowledgement no UAR is required. Doubled screw clips exist for looping in of voltage. 7 6. Device Design The SG 200 sounder consists of the sounder unit and a surface mounting base. The signal transmitter part contains the complete electronics and terminal block. The mounting base has pre prepared openings that enable either surface or concealed cable feed. 112, Installation 7.1. Mounting hints The sounder is suitable for mounting in interior and protected exterior areas. The signal transmitter top is connected to the base by a bayonet lock. The sounder lens is screwed onto the base and has a locking screw to prevent unintended removal. The pre punched openings on the mounting base for the fastening screws and cable feeds must be broken out or drilled through. Connect the mounting base and signal transmitter with the enclosed screws. Page 7 of 10

Assembly Diagram 92 23, Information on Maintenance and Service For maintenance and inspection work on fire systems, in Germany the regulations of DIN VDE 0833 apply, which refer to the maintenance interval according to the manufacturer s instructions. Bosch Security Systems recommends a functional and visual inspection at least once a year. Maintenance and inspection work should be carried out regularly and by trained personnel Repair In case of defect, the sounder is exchanged completely Disposal Defective devices should be disposed of according to the legal instructions Additional Documentation For those with access authorization, on the Bosch ST ExtraNet at the current information for each product, as well as the installation instructions supplied with the device, are available for download as a PDF file.
