In 1959 the grounds were made home to the University of Bristol Botanical Gardens. In 2005 the University plants, shrubs and trees were moved to a new site in Stoke Bishop. With careful nurturing from the resident gardener the Victorian ornamental grounds have now been expertly restored. Within the grounds you will find a beautiful selection of flowers, plants and trees including the rare and endangered Sorbus. The stunning borders and rock gardens offer areas teeming with year round colour. Established trees include mulberry, rowan and copper beech. An elegant lily pond sits quietly behind Coach House Mews.
