1 Ward 2 Report Councillor Bob Hawkins Dear Ward 2 Residents: It s been a year since you returned me as your Ward 2 Councillor in the last municipal elections. Thank you for your support. As I complete I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to serve you and to work with such a dedicated Mayor and group of Councillors for the betterment of our city. progress that has been made in with homelessness and making our city greener. I am pleased to be able to serve on the Mayor s Housing Commission which oversees the City s housing programs.

4 Better Lights Marking Pedestrian Crosswalks We re introducing a pilot program that we believe will improve pedestrian solar powered lights have been installed near three busy intersections where used. These beacons will be used as a warning device to bring drivers attention to pedestrians at nearby crosswalk intersections. Three pilot locations will receive the beacons: (just east of Victoria and Albert) Snow Routes Declared 24-hour parking ban starts at 6 a.m. New Paving Preservation Technique This new pilot program is an of extending the life of our roads. Treatment with new sealants coats the pavement preventing moisture from penetrating into it causing cracks and erosion. The pavement will be evaluated over the next year to determine how the sealant stand up in our environment. The experiment will be conducted on two streets: Local Road Renewal Program and sidewalks had very little repair done on them. Ward 2 has been of our streets are 40 years old. 5 Recently restored Confederation Park Fountain Confederation Park Fountain in its early days (Saskatchewan Archives, R_B9542) Confederation Park Fountain city restored the park and the fountain to their original condition. The fountain features 16 water spouting frogs situated around the perimeters of its four tiers. The original zinc frogs were beyond repair so the at the University of Regina to replicate the frogs.
