3 Instructions Instructions Connecting the Service Display Connect the Service Display to one of the sockets on the control board or on the cladding of the entrance and/or eit door (optional). IMPORTANT Please ensure that the ON / switch is on before connecting and/or disconnecting the Service Display. CAUTION Note: If the display is on (switch in the ON position) while being connected / disconnected this can lead to destruction of the control interface. Pull down the service flap to access the main control board and connect the service display V4.0 3/ 45

4 Operating modes Operating modes General presentation The screen displays error messages in plain tet as well as the type of configuration. The menu can be accessed by turning the blue rotary dial on the front of the Service Display as shown in the diagram below: Scroll through the menu using the blue dial. Press the dial once briefly to confirm your menu selection. Keep the dial pressed to return to the previous menu. Accessing information in the menu: The cursor shows your position in the menu. 5 Operating modes Commissioning the record Service Display Before using the record Service Display, it has to be configured in order to communicate with the PLC (Programmable Logic Control). Accessing the SETUP menu on the screen: Connect the plug while keeping the rotary dial pressed. Setting the communication speed: Scroll down to Set Baudate and confirm Set to 9600 and confirm Return to the previous menu Selecting the communication mode: Select Set Serial Mode and confirm Select RS485 FTP and confirm Choice of address: 01 to add local address and confirm V4.0 5/ 45

6 Operating modes 2 02 to add technician s info and confirm Change the address screen: Return to the communication mode Eit Serial Mode menu And eit the Setup menu 2.3 Enter the access code Access to the menu is protected by a code which restricts modification of the parameter settings to qualified and authorized personnel only.
