5 2 Rev. 2.0 (201205) General information is a software package which allows you to connect to the dishwasher's website. Here you can, for example, display operating values and parameters, statistics, water and electricity consumption figures, operating costs etc. Service personnel can also be given the authorisation to change values. is intended for larger dishwashers and is not suitable for smaller, single-tank machines or the WD Equipment In order to be able to use, you need a PC with Internet Explorer or another internet browser and a network card for an Ethernet connection. This will be referred to as Internet Explorer throughout the remainder of the manual. If you want to connect the PC directly to the dishwasher, you should use a crossed network cable. If you are connecting the dishwasher to a network, you should use a straight network cable Connecting the PC and the dishwasher Connect the PC to the contact (2) on the dishwasher's control board (3). 6 2 Rev. 2.0 (201205) Connecting : Settings This information is based on the assumption that you have a functioning network card installed in your PC. It can be helpful to use dual network cards in order to avoid changes being made to the standard network settings when the PC is connected to the network in an office environment. In this case, you should configure the network card which is intended for use with the dishwasher. Open Control Panel and double-click on "Network Settings". Double-click on the network adapter that you want to use. Click on "Settings". In the window which appears, the "General" tab is open. Scroll down to the settings for "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and click on the "Settings" button. All WD dishwashers have the default IP address You can change this using a terminal program if you want to. You can also change the default address via the website. In addition, it is possible to have the dishwasher assigned an IP address automatically using DHCP. Settings for connecting the PC directly to the dishwasher On your PC, set the network address for the network card to , the netmask to and the default gateway to Click on OK. You can now connect to all dishwashers with IP addresses between and If you change the IP address of the dishwasher to something other than XXX, you must also change the settings on your PC, so that the PC has a network address in the same range as the dishwasher. Settings for connecting the dishwasher to a network Set the network address for the network card on your PC to an address in the same range as the dishwashers on the network. Each dishwasher on the network must be configured with a different fixed IP address. You can also configure the machines so that they are automatically assigned an IP address via the network using DHCP. 2

7 2 Rev. 2.0 (201205) Changing the IP address of the dishwasher using HyperTerminal or a similar terminal program Connecting the cable You must use a null modem cable and connect the female end to the dishwasher. Use the cable to connect the PC to the RS-232 contact on the I/O board in the dishwasher. Connecting HyperTerminal Switch on the power to the dishwasher. Start up the computer. Examples of how to do this using Hyper Terminal are shown below. Equivalent installations are made regardless of the terminal program selected. It is also possible to use Service Tool version 1.90 or later. Login as usual, then select "Consol Window" from the "Window" menu. The first time you start HyperTerminal you must enter some settings in order to be able to connect the software to the dishwasher. You enter these settings as follows: Click on the Start button in the bottom left-hand corner of the Windows desktop and select "Start > Programs > Accessories > Communications > HyperTerminal". The "Connection Description" window appears. Enter a name for the connection in the "Name" field. Choose a symbol from the "Icon" field. Click on OK. The "Connect to" window appears. From the "Connect using" menu, choose which COM port you want to use. If the PC has only one COM port, this is usually called COM1. Click on OK. The "COM1 Properties" window appears. Enter the following values: "Bits per second": 38400, "Data bits": 8, "Parity": None, "Stop bits": 1, "Flow control": None. Click on OK. Check the connection to the machine by pressing "Enter". A question mark should appear in the terminal. Enter the command "pip" and press "Enter", to check the machine's IP address. Enter "pip?" to see how to enter the IP address, default gateway and subnet mask. Usage: pip [<ip address> <default gateway> <subnet mask>] To assign an IP address dynamically using DCHP, enter the command "pdhcp 1" and then press Enter. To close DCHP, enter "pdhcp 0" and press Enter. When you have changed the IP address, you must restart the machine to activate it. 3

8 2 Rev. 2.0 (201205) Saving the configuration in HyperTerminal To avoid having to enter these settings each time, you can save them and reuse them when you next connect to a machine. Select "File > Save as". Enter a file name and folder where you want to save the connection and then click on "Save". You can also save the connection and its icon directly on the desktop, where you can find it easily when you want to access the saved settings. In the "Save as" window, select "Desktop" in the "Save in" field and save the settings Authorisation levels The content of the website is divided into different authorisation levels. Customers do not need to log in to the site and can only view the information. In order to be able to change values which affect the functioning of the machine, you must log in using a password. 1.2 Connecting to the machine's website Open Internet Explorer. Enter the IP address in the Address field at the top and press Enter to go to the website. The main window with tabs for different types of information appears. In the top left-hand corner of the window you will see the current authorisation level. At this point you are not logged in and the information on each tab is intended for personnel without the authorisation to change the values. 4

This is either the number of the programme in the case of machines with programme buttons P1, P2 and P3 or the contact time for the wash cycle for other machines. The average temperature in the wash tank. The final rinse temperature. The alarm for no or low water flow. The alarm for the pump motor safety cut-out. The detergent alarm. There is a lot of data stored, which can means a delay (up to five minutes) before HACCP data is displayed. This is normal. NOTE: As HACCP data is stored in with a limited amount of memory, we recommend that you save HACCP reports regularly. When the memory is full, the oldest data will disappear first. Depending on how much you use the machine, we recommend backing up the reports every four weeks. In exceptional cases reports can be required at shorter intervals. In the menu (A) you can choose how to display the information. You can display it as a list with data for each wash cycle, a list with data only for the most recent wash cycle or a bar chart showing the temperature variations in the tank and booster heaters during the last 60 minutes. In the menu (B) you can choose the time interval (month, week, day) or state a date range (from - to) for the data that is presented. 6

Water consumption The water consumption window shows the consumption for the last 24 months and the total consumption in m3. The consumption costs are shown in the current currency. Energy consumption The energy consumption window shows the electricity consumption for the last 24 months. The consumption is broken down and displayed in several columns. One column is for the elements in the tanks and the drying zones, one for the booster heaters and one for the motors and other equipment. The total consumption in kwh and the costs in the current currency are also shown. Change consumption In this window you can enter the correct output in kw for the heating elements, motors, pumps etc. If the machine has an output meter, you should check the box to ensure that the meter is used. In this case, only the total electricity consumption per month is shown. Edit prices You enter the price for water and electricity in this window. If the rates vary, you can enter two different rates. You can also enter the time interval during which rate 1 applies. 7

Flight type dishwashers The usage level for the last 10 weeks. The usage level since the machine was last started. The total cumulative active photocell time. The active photocell time since the machine was last started. Tray dishwashers The total number of trays washed since the machine was started for the first time. A counter counts the number of operating hours, washed baskets or trays or wash cycles, depending on the type of machine. A service light (A) comes on to indicate that the machine needs to be serviced. The temperatures are shown in figures, for example, the current temperature in the tank. The status of the digital inputs and outputs is indicated using an LED (B) for each input and output. The LED is lit when the function is enabled and unlit when the function is not enabled. If the input or output is not available on this type of machine, the LED is greyed out. 11

For the graph and the bar chart you can choose from a menu whether to show the temperature of the booster heater or the tank. 12

The report can be saved on the computer and printed out later. The report can contain the following information: The current machine model taken from the machine configuration. Operation data (A). HACCP information (B) (Only if this function is enabled). Consumption and costs (C) (Only if this function is enabled). You can choose which information to include by checking some or all of the boxes (D). If the HACCP function (B) is enabled and you want to print this information, you can enter a time interval (E). Choose which information you want to print (D) and create the report (F). 13

The operating time for pumps, open valves and heating elements. The water flow (maximum and minimum flow) with time stamp. HACCP information (B) The following information is included in the report: The start time of the wash cycle. The selected programme. The tank temperature (average temperature). The final rinse temperature. The alarm for no or low water flow. The alarm for the pump motor safety cut-out. The detergent alarm. The variations in the temperature of the tank and booster heater during the last hour of operation are shown in a diagram. Consumption and cost (C) The following information is included in the report: Monthly water consumption and costs in the current currency. Monthly electricity consumption in the tanks, drying zones, booster heaters, motors etc. and costs in the current currency. 14

19 2 Rev. 2.0 (201205) 1.4 Information for personnel with authorisation Service personal with authorisation can log in using a password and access additional functions which are not available to personnel without authorisation. Authorised personnel can change values which affect the functioning of the machine. Follow these instructions to connect to the machine's website: Open Internet Explorer. Enter the IP address in the Address field at the top and press Enter to go to the website. The main window with tabs for different types of information appears. In the top left-hand corner of the window (3) you will see the current authorisation level. At this point you are not logged in and the information on each tab is intended for personnel who are not authorised to change the values. Here you can reset the counters for the different components. For example, when you replace a heating element, you can reset the counter which records the time during which the element is in operation. The total amount of the time that the machine has been in operation since it was started for the first time. The water flow (maximum and minimum flow) with time stamp. 20

Each alarm also appears in text form. Here you can enter comments, for example if a component has been replaced. The information can be saved and updated later.
