5 EXPERIENCE: Mr. Canziani s backgrund cnsists f educatin/technical training and 30 years f prfessinal experience as a law enfrcement investigatr. Mr. Canziani achieved the rank f Sergeant with the Marin Cunty Sheriff s Office and retired in Nvember During the curse f Mr. Canziani s emplyment he was assigned as a Vilent Crimes Detective, where he investigated numerus crimes against persns, including death and hmicide. Mr. Canziani became an expert in behavir analysis and is a highly-develped interviewer and interrgatr. Mr. Canziani cncurrently served as Reserve Fire Fighter/EMT with the American Canyn Fire Prtectin District and subsequently develped skills t becme a Fire Investigatr. Mr. Canziani als acted in this capacity fr the Napa/Slan Fire Investigatin Unit and the Marin Cunty Fire Investigatin Unit. Mr. Canziani als participated in ver 30 live burns f structures, vehicles, and vegetatin fires fr investigative training purpses. During and after these fires he bserved and phtgraphed fire behavir and burn/char indicatrs adding t his experience f fire patterns, fire behavir, scene preservatin, and investigatin. Sme f this experience included the use f explsives and incendiary devices; thus, prviding a brader range f fire investigatin experience fr him, including expsure t the influence f ventilatin and firefighting activities n fire behavir and pst-fire indicatrs. Mr. Canziani has testified as an expert in Fire Cause & Origin. He has investigated ver 400 fires, including fire related deaths/ hmicides.
