The crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM601 or CM602 is mixed with the SX-0612S graft component at an addition rate of between 5 and 10%, the rate dependent upon the extruder residence time. SX 0612S combines good mechanical and electrical properties with enhanced fire retardancy to meet demanding insulation specifications such as IEC /HF90, BS EN for EIS, BS EN and BS7211. SX 0612S is also suitable for sheathing of cables requiring high levels of fire retardancy.
