3 Step Inside Spacious & Stylish A Total Transformation The current owners have lived at this family home for the past thirty-nine years and have left no stone unturned with the transformation. When we moved in we immediately set to building the double garage and tackling the overgrown wilderness in the garden. My husband is a carpenter and has thrown himself into numerous projects around the house over the years. Their efforts have certainly paid off as now the refurbished interior is complete and the garden is beautifully landscaped and includes a wonderfully sunny curved terrace. All three bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room. A recently fitted kitchen is stylish and well-appointed and a sunny sitting room has breath-taking views of the garden through a large picture window and a pair of glazed sliding doors. A Sunny Disposition To the front, a five-bar gate opens into a large expanse of gravel where there is ample parking for half a dozen cars or more and is flanked by high level hedging to offer soft edges and seclusion. A second five-bar gate completes the in-and-out driveway and there is a generous double garage and another garage door attached to the opposite side of the property which opens to reveal a drive through access to the rear garden. On special family occasions such as Christmas we turn the reception hall into a formal dining room as there is plenty of space for us all to sit around a big table. We have just completed the kitchen, although the project took nearly two years as my husband is a perfectionist. A Room with a View The sitting room looks out across the garden and a large picture window plus a pair of glazed sliding doors allow fantastic views whilst relaxing in the comfort of your favourite armchair. I really love the sitting room as we can enjoy the garden whilst feeling cosy and comfortable by the fire. The sliding doors can be pushed back on sunny days to allow access to the terrace and give the room a wonderfully open feel with the delights of the garden enticing you outside for a stroll. The reception hall also connects you to three spacious bedrooms; all fitted with wardrobes and all immaculately presented. The family bathroom was the latest project to be completed and now impresses with a stylish double shower enclosure, a cast iron bath, stunning stone coloured ceramic wall tiles and luxurious non-slip tiles underfoot. The master bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room, which has also been recently updated and operates as a wet room.

4 Step Outside Spacious & Stylish The Best of Both Worlds The garden has been lovingly designed by the current owners and a stylish curved terrace with a choice of seating options for family and friends leads to an immaculately maintained lawn. We pulled out all the stops to complete the terrace in time for the millennium celebration and were lucky enough to christen it with friends on New Year s Eve. The borders to either side are crammed with colourful shrubs and flowering plants, and two sheds offer plenty of storage for garden machinery and furniture. There is also a large workshop stretching along the rear of the property which is currently used for carpentry projects. The location of this beautiful family home ticks all the boxes as it is in a small and very friendly village surrounded by picturesque countryside yet wonderfully accessible due to the vicinity of Chelmsford and the A12 trunk road. It is just a couple of miles to Chelmsford park-and-ride and several of my neighbours find it really handy for commuting onto the city on the train which takes just over half an hour into London Liverpool Street. There are also bridleways on the doorstep which take you to rolling fields and ancient woodland. I am a member of a local walking group and have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beautiful countryside all around us. I will miss the fact that you can just step outside the front door and have the choice of so many lovely walks.
