Dimensions These Spirax-Sarco Thermostatic Steam Traps efficiently operate at steam pressures up to 465 psi, and temperatures up to 572 F. The traps come equipped with a Standard (STD) operating capsule that opens to discharge hot condensate at 22 F. below saturated steam temperature. The model PC32Y comes with an integral stainless steel strainer. The trap should be installed on a horizontal plane with the cover at the top, and preferably with a drop leg immediately preceding the trap. When installing a socket weld model there is no need to remove the element first as long as welding is electric arc method. Spirax-Sarco SP30LC Thermostatic Steam Traps The Spirax-Sarco SP30LC has an all stainless steel construction, both internals and body. The welded stainless steel operating element is self-adjusting over the entire operating pressure range and will discharge condensate at approximately 18 F. below saturated steam temperature. The stainless steel operating element is resistant to water hammer and super heat up to 90 F. over saturated steam temperature can be tolerated. Typical applications include kitchen and hospital equipment, steam tracers, steam coils, steam radiators and steam main drip stations. Three discharge temperatures offered: 40 below steam saturation temperature; 7 below saturation and the other almost at saturation (steam) temperature. Preferred installation is a vertical pattern. If installed horizontally to the ground the trap should be preceded by a short drop leg. If used as an air vent, install inverted - Outlet on top. Internal element withstands water hammer and temperatures to 518 F. They efficiently operate at steam pressures up to 465 psi, and temperatures up to 662 F. The trap should be installed on a horizontal plane with the cover at the top, and preferably with a drop leg immediately preceding the trap. When installing a socket weld modelthere is no need to remove the element first as long as welding is electric arc method. NSI 150 and 300 flanges optional. To expedite easy servicing of the trap please install isolating valves both upstream and down stream of the steam trap. Forged steel body with stainless steel operating internals and integral stainless steel strainer screen ensure both robust and efficient operation.
