Memories are personal to you and your memorial should reflect this, helping to remember and celebrate a person s life. We advise that you visit the crematorium and speak to our staff before making a final decision. Our Chapel At Langstone Vale Crematorium we have a comfortable and modern Chapel, furnished in oak. The chapel is light and spacious, finished in traditional stone with picture windows along one side to frame the magnificent views behind. With all the facilities available, it offers a state of the art media centre, live webcasts and an almost unlimited music library. Tradition is not forgotten though, with a Viscount organ too. All forms of live music are welcome and the crematorium staff would be pleased to offer any advice you may need. The Chapel is able to seat 96 with standing space for a further 100. Speakers are also located in the lobby area and within the entrance canopy allowing larger parties to be catered for. We allow 60 minute service slots. This ensures that every family has enough time to hold a personal and dignified service. The floral tribute area is set slightly away from the Chapel, offering a quiet spot to gather with friends and family after the service. Floral tributes will remain on display outside for a minimum of three nights, unless otherwise instructed. There are approximately 75 allocated parking spaces, although more parking may be found within the grounds. Each stone can be dedicated to the memory of a loved one and ashes may be scattered or buried close by. The inscription is engraved on a tempered glass panel on the top sloping face of the stone. Each measures approximately 2ft (60cm), is available in a range of granites and can be made to accommodate one or two vases for displaying cut flowers. The area in front of the headstone can be filled with coloured chippings or with soil for planting. Alternatively, a co-ordinating granite slab can be provided. Garden Memorials Unlike other traditional memorials, these secure granite vaults hold the ashes urn above ground, making them particularly suitable for shorter term leases. They consist of a granite sanctum and an above ground mini grave that can each hold up to four sets of ashes. The vaults are available in the full range of granites, unless otherwise stated. A range of hand-carved memorials are available, which are ideally placed within communal gardens. They are also often used to mark the ashes burial plot within a private space. Available in all granite colours, they can also be made of Italian white marble but it is important to note that marble will weather naturally over time.
