3 Funeral Charges Our funeral charges are made up of a number of different elements, depending on the type and style of funeral service each family requires. Our experienced funeral arrangers will gently go through all the options available, resulting in a bespoke funeral where we aim to match the needs of each family we look after. The Professional Service Charge includes the use of our premises, all arrangements for the funeral, office administration and the many other services, which enables us to finalise the arrangements we make on your behalf. Hearse Bearers Funeral Director Conveyance of deceased to our chapel of rest from either a private house, nursing home, or hospital (local - weekday) 8.30am pm Professional Services Charge 1, TOTAL 2, Extended Credit Surcharge (only payable if the Funeral Account is not settled within one month of invoice date The above charges are for a funeral local to Burwash. In addition to the above charges the cost of a coffin will need to be added, as well as other relevant third party disbursements; the costs of which are summarised on the following pages. We ask that a deposit of 1, be paid at the time of arranging a funeral, towards the third party disbursements we pay on your behalf. Saturday funerals can be accommodated and are priced individually on application. We will be pleased to provide a copy of our Terms and Conditions of business on request. Page 3

6 Direct Cremation Service Not everyone wants to have a funeral service. For some they do not want the fuss, for others they do not want the expense of a full funeral service. Others may simply just not want anyone else to be present, or prefer to separate the cremation from the funeral service itself. For whatever reason, we can help. Page 6 Direct Cremation from 1, inclusive. What is included: Our Glenmore oak foil veneer coffin. Conveyance of Deceased to our Chapel of Rest during office hours, within a 20 mile radius of our office. Conveyance of the coffin to Kent & Sussex Crematorium, Tunbridge Wells, for immediate cremation (no service held), at a time suitable to ourselves with all necessary staff. Cremation and doctor s fees. Our professional services and advice. Quiet time in our Chapel of Rest, with the closed coffin. Interment of the cremated remains in the Garden of Remembrance (unwitnessed), or collection by the applicant. What is not included: This price is available because several elements of a traditional funeral are not used or do not take place. For example, there is no Funeral Service in the chapel, so a minister or celebrant is not required. We also do not carry out any preparation of the deceased (such as embalming or dressing them), leaving them quietly at rest until their funeral date. 11 Our NATURAL Coffins Given the nature of the materials used in our natural coffins they may vary slightly in shape, style and colouring to the images depicted in this brochure. A cross can be woven as an optional extra in your chosen colour SOMERSET WILLOW The willow plant grows on the Somerset levels, and can be harvested annually for up to 60 years from the same crown. Available in buff, weather beaten gold and white. With a selection of contrasting bands and coloured handles or natural hemp. Entirely handmade, supplied with a natural calico interior SEAGRASS Naturally grown in fields that are flooded with seawater and hand crafted. 13 Burial of Ashes Our charges for the burial of ashes as set out below, are made up of a number of different elements, depending on where the ashes are to be interred or scattered. Our funeral arrangers will go through the various options available. Our Professional Services, use of CW premises and facilities and all items of service and supplies needed to complete the arrangements made. 14 SCATTER TUBES Scatter tubes are an alternative option to traditional wooden ashes caskets. They offer flexibility and a choice in how best to commemorate a loved one. Easy to use for scattering ashes the scatter tube range allows greater choice when deciding the best way to preserve, or to remember someone close.
