4 RULES 1. The Show is open to all members of The British Cactus and Succulent Society and members of The Haworthia Society. 2. Exhibitors should read the schedule carefully. 3. The decision of the Show Committee shall be final in all matters. 4. Judging and classification of plants shall be in accordance with the 10th Edition of The BCSS Handbook of Shows. Judges reserve the right to withhold any award or prize card, if in their opinion an exhibit in any particular class does not merit such an award. 5. All entry forms MUST be completed and returned to the show secretary no later than Friday, 31st July No entries will be accepted on the day of the show. 6. Entries will be limited to TWO per exhibitor per class. Entries should not contain more than one plant per pot. 7. All staging must be completed by am on the morning of the show. The show manager or stewards reserve the right to re-position any plant, either for reason of space or aesthetic presentation. Any plant that in the judge s opinion is infected by pests or disease will be removed from the show and not qualify for an award. 8. Any appeal against the judge s decision, based on the rules within the Handbook of Shows, must be lodged with the show manager in writing, within an hour of the completion of judging, together with a complaints fee of 2:00, which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld. 9. Exhibits must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor and are staged at the owner s own risk. The committee accept no responsibility for any loss or damage, but all reasonable care will be taken. 10. Points will be awarded for each class as follows: First 5 pts Second 3 pts Third 2 pts Highly Commended 1 pt All points will be counted towards trophies and awards. 11. Cups and trophies are perpetual challenge awards and are the property of the BCSS Oxford Branch. Winners must undertake to return them in good condition in time for the next show. 12. Entry to the show constitutes acceptance of the above rules. Members are encouraged to bring plants for sale on the Branch Sales Table. Each plant must be in an individual pot with a clearly marked label indicating the sale price and vendor, a 20% commission of any sale will be deducted by the branch. Joyce grew amazing plants and produced some wonderful hybrids and cultivars. Everyone who collects these plants must have a least one of her plants in their collection. This section of the show this year is being dedicated to Joyce s memory. The schedule is compiled in accordance with a list of accepted species in The Haworthia Nomenclature within guidelines published by M. B. Bayer and J. C. Manning.
