HORTICULTURAL SECTION RULES 1.That the Entrance Fee be as follows:- Classes 1, 25, 26, 48, 49, 120, Division 1. Other Open Classes, 30p. per entry, per class. Division 2, 30p. per class, or an inclusive Fee for both Divisions, 10. Exhibitors paying an inclusion fee must specify on Entry Form Classes in which they intend entering. 2. Definition of Sections. Division 1. Open. Division 2. Open to residents within a radius of 10 miles. 3. All Exhibits must be grown by the Exhibitor upon land in his/her own occupation and must have been in his/her possession from the 1st May. Exhibits should be named wherever possible. AN EXHIBITOR MAY ENTER MORE THAN ONE ENTRY PER CLASS, UP TO A MAXIMUM OF TWO. The Committee reserve the right to inspect any garden. 4. The Committee reserve the right to refuse any entry. 5. The Judge s decision shall be final as to merit, but should a complaint of any kind be made, it shall be decided by the Executive Committee whose decision shall be final. All objections must be made to the Secretary in writing before 3.30 p.m. on the day of the Show accompanied by a deposit of 50p. which will be returned if objection is sustained. The Judges will not be bound to award a prize in any class where they do not consider the exhibit deserving of one and they may award extra prizes for any meritorious production. 6. All Exhibits must be staged not later than a.m., on the morning of the Show, at which time the tent will be closed to all except the Judges and those appointed by the Committee. This time will be strictly adhered to and any exhibit touched after the hour has been announced will be disqualified. Arrangements are made for Floral Art entrants to exhibit on Friday afternoon. 7. All cut flowers must be shown in vases or bowls. All containers, etc. to be supplied by the Exhibitor. 8. No Exhibitor will be allowed to remove any exhibit from the Show before 5 p.m., without special permission of the Secretary. 9. Exhibitors infringing any of these rules will be disqualified and all show prize money forfeited. 10. The Committee, while taking every precaution to prevent any loss or damage to exhibits, do not hold themselves responsible for the same. 11. Prize money not collected from Secretary after presentation of cups will be forfeited. 12. ALL CHALLENGE CUPS TO BE HELD FOR ONE YEAR ONLY. HONEY : Mr. GARETH DAVIES, Llandrindod Wells. Beat eggs well and add them alternatively with the sifted flour, but save a little flour to add with the fruit. Beat all together, lightly. A little milk may be added (up to 3 tablespoons) if necessary. Fold in the fruit and stir well. Bake in a well buttered tin for approx 1-1 1/4 hours (or until just firm to touch) in a moderate oven (approx 325F / 160C / Gas 3). Round cake tin approximately 18cm / 7 inches.
