2 2012 is Hagen UK s 30th Anniversary. As this has been a historic year for the UK, with the Queen s Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympics, we chose to fly the flag in our entrance display.

4 Just outside the main entrance, we turned a rather drab seating area into a luxuriously green water garden with a Laguna pond feature. Downstairs in the Laguna room, the merchandising display demonstrated our new Elite dealer POP.

5 In the lower lobby, visitors were treated to an attention grabbing display of our new Vivexotic ranges stylish Viva and the eminently practical Repti-Stax and Snake-Stax. Also in this area, we had a live interactive demonstration of the new Hagen website.

7 Leading through into the Aquatics room, visitors were greeted by a striking display of corals and marine livestock in the new Fluval SEA aquariums. The Interzoo displays kindly loaned to us from Hagen Germany helped us to make the most of the new Fluval Sea range and our growing selection of attractive nano aquariums.

8 To assist us in the launch of Fluval Sea, we have created a 1metre display for the hardware and liquids, with a bus stop system to promote the introductory offer on salt tubs (free Calcium/ Alkalinity supplement twin pack with every tub).

9 Our good friends at UKAPS once again helped us to create some stunning freshwater aquatic displays in both the new Tropical aquariums (showcasing the new Fluval Aqualife and Plant LED lighting) and all our nano kits.

12 One strong feature was our new 3 x 1.2m nano merchandised display system - this will be made available to selected retailers to ensure a strong presence in-store. The Marina 360 proved popular with many customers and we have developed a simple endcap to promote the special features.

14 Introducing an element of fun, the new Marina fossil collection was used to create a pre-historic themed dry display. Our Nutrafin bay featured our UK designed food and treatment packaging along with our 50% extra free promotional packs of tropical and goldfish flakes, Aqua Plus and Cycle.

15 Highlights of the Exo Terra room included the new lighting, metal halide system, turtle range, foods, low terrariums and new décor items. The new snake bedding proved particularly popular.

17 To create some in-store theatre we have developed a selection of promotions and POP around the new Congo themed terrarium. As always, one small area was devoted to clearance lines.

18 Upstairs, the Cat, Dog and Bird area was dominated by a central display featuring Smartsift and Senses.

19 Other new cat and dog items were also highlighted in an area that doubles as the Hagen café. This year, special anniversary cup cakes were on offer with the usual drinks.

20 On the top floor customers were taken through a timeline of small animal keeping, from past favourites like Habitrail Carnival, through our current Living World and Ovo ranges and into the future Living World Green.

21 The highlight of the weekend was the Gala Dinner, attended by over 280 guests. The evening started with speeches from UK Managing Director Adrian Burgess and Global President and CEO, Rolf Hagen Jr who was in attendance during the Exhibition. This was followed by a tribute to our founder Rolf C Hagen.

22 Entertainment was provided by comedy ventriloquist Paul Zerdin and the legendary Billy Ocean, who delighted the audience with his amazing vocals and kept us all dancing into the early hours.
