4 Message from the Flower Show Chairman "Once upon a time there was a group of talented, fun ladies who decided to hold a Standard Flower Show in New Smyrna Beach! Welcome! And thank you for attending our flower show. This year the District VI Flower Show Judges Council was met with new challenges. Our current handbook has put forth some new and exciting divisions, designs, educational and botanical exhibits that have been included in this presentation. Please enjoy the horticultural display, floral designs and other exhibits that have been inspired by some of our favorite fairy tales and bedtime stories. I would like to thank all the imaginative knowledgeable members of our council who have participated in producing this fabulous flower show. It s like each one has their own magic wand! On a personal note, I would like to mention how much I miss our Barbara Willey as this flower show unfolds. I met Barbara on the very first day I began judges school and she has been there for me every inch of the way teaching me, inspiring me and best of all laughing with me. She was a special lady. I would be remiss not to mention the other outstanding fellow members of our Garden Club community that have left us, Ann Tate, Ann Heist and another personal friend and mentor, Lorraine Gabler. Their guidance, talent and friendship will always be remembered. It is a privilege to chair this show and be able to work with such an array of accomplished, skilled and enchanting women!! Enjoy your time at our Flower Show, and remember "they lived happily ever after! Denise Crutchfield Flower Show Princess 1
