TDF # January 21, 2019 NOTICE: The bid documents are amended, in certain particulars, as stated here-in which adds to, and/or supersedes, conflicting information in the Project Manual or Drawings. Work covered by this Addendum shall be subject to the Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, General Requirements and Specifications. Acknowledge this Addendum on the Bid Form and include the cost of the work herein specified in the Bid. Refer to attached debarment form furnished by Community Action for use in your bid submittals. 2. Refer to attached sign-in sheet for attendance at the meeting. 3. Per discussion at the pre-bid meeting, the roofing work will be a part of the scope of the project and the contractor that the Owner originally identified to do the work will not be available. Contractors are to secure quotes from a roofer that is authorized to work on a Dur-o-last roof for all work on this project. 4. Per discussion at the prebid meeting and in accordance with the specifications, no labor or materials bond will be required, and no bid security is required. 5. The Instructions to bidders make reference to a bid supplement. There is no bid supplement required. 3.2 SPECIFICATION CHANGES 1. Refer to Specification Index. Make the following revisions: a. Delete Abbreviations and Symbols b. Delete Quality Control c. Delete reference to Division 22, 23, 26, 27 and 28. The table of contents for those sections is published at the beginning of each section. d. Delete Section Play Surfacing e. Delete Section Chain Link Fencing 2. Refer to Drawing Index. Make the following revisions: a. Add ME1.1 b. Add SS1.1 c. Add SS Refer to Section Replace paragraph D with the following D. Glazing beads shall be minimum 20 gauge steel with mitered corners. Labeled frames shall have UL or FM approved glazing beads. Interior frames receive ¼ thick glass, Exterior frames receive 1 thick glass. 5. Refer to Section A. In the third sentence, delete the phrase Only domestic manufacturers are acceptable. Also in the hardware schedule, delete the Set AL Refer to Section Window Covering, paragraph : Add the following sentence to the end of the paragraph, Shades are required in all exterior windows. 7. Refer to Division 26 Electrical. Add Section Fire Alarm System, attached herewith. 8. Refer to Division 27 FCCS. This Division of work will be performed by the Owner under separate contract. It will not be part of the bid process for this project. 3.3 DRAWING CHANGES 1. Refer to Sheet C1.1, dated 1/21/19, reissued with this addendum. Note the revisions at the remodeled walk in cooler structure and the detailed information on the dumpster enclosure. 2. Refer to Sheet A0.1, dated 1/21/19, reissued as part of this addendum. The existing exterior enclosure of the walk in cooler is to remain and has been incorporated into the plan. 3. Refer to Sheet A1.1, dated 1/21/19 reissued with this addendum. In room 114, the new exterior door should be labeled as 114B. Also in this same room the detail call out at the door frame should be 3 and 4 on sheet A2.1 in lieu of 6 on A2.1. In addition, delete note 6 from the room finish schedule notes. 4. Refer to Sheet A1.2, dated 1/21/19, reissued with this addendum. The drawing has been updated with information on the remodeling of the walk in cooler area. 5. Refer to sheet A2.1, dated 1/7/19, not reissued. In detail A/A2.1 the countertop should be PLAM in lieu of solid surface and there will be no alternate Also in the door schedule, revise doors 111A and 113A from 7-0 tall to 4-0 tall. The hollow metal frame should be capped on the top. In the door schedule add door 109A. Door will be 3-0 x 7-0, type 1, with stained finish, hollow metal frame type a, and hardware set 15. Also add hardware set 19 as follows 1-1/2 Pair Butts Plated steel ball bearing, heavy weight doors, average frequency, full mortise. 1 Lockset Classroom Function, lever. 1 Kick Plate Stainless Steel 1 Wall Stop/Hold Rockwood 494.

Additional ceiling work is shown in the remodeled area of the old walk in cooler. 7. Refer to Sheet P1.1, dated 1/7/19, not reissued. Refer to the Demolition Notes: Add Note # 5 as follows Where required by the new floor plan, remove all existing floor drains and prep surface for installation of new flooring. Cap existing piping to remain in accordance with code requirements. 8. Refer to Sheet P2.1, dated 1/7/19, not reissued. In Mangers Office 127, add a Keyed Note # 12. At the list of Keyed Notes, add # 12 Move the existing water softening equipment into the adjacent existing mechanical/electrical room, coordinate location with other trades. 9. Refer to Sheet M1.1, dated 1/7/19, not reissued. Refer to the Mechanical Equipment List, add supply air grille S-3, 16x6, double deflection, steel, offwhite. 10. Refer to Sheet M2.1, dated 1/21/19, reissued with this addendum. Add return air ductwork and grilles serving RTU-123, as shown on the revised plan. Adjust the ductwork layout in MP Room 122 as shown. 11. Refer to Sheet E1.1, dated 1/7/19, not reissued. Refer to the light fixture schedule and add the following fixtures: X1, Lithonia LHQM, without heads, green letters, surface mounted with arrows as appropriate to location. X2, same fixture with exterior remote head, surface mounted with arrows as appropriate to location. 12. Refer to Sheet E2.1, dated 1/7/19, reissued with this addendum. a. In Storage 107 change Keyed Note 10 to Keyed Note 9. b. Add a Keyed Note 10 in the vicinity of Staff Toilet 108 c. Refer to the list of Keyed Notes for this sheet and add Keyed Note #10 as follows: Remove existing under floor wiring, including above floor wiring and conduit in this vicinity, prep floor to receive new flooring material. d. Refer to the Demolition Notes, Clarification: It is intended that where existing walls are removed to make way for the revised floor plan layout, all existing electrical devices and wiring that may exist in those walls be removed as well. It is also intended that where existing walls remain, but now become a part of a newly finished area, all existing devices and wiring be removed as well. e. to specification section issued with this bulletin. f. Refer to the revised architectural plan at MP Room 122, move the receptacle on south side of the room to the new south wall location g. Keyed Note 3 has been added to classrooms and corridors, coordinate final location requirements for child safe receptacles with inspector h. Delete the General Data Notes from this sheet. All data and communication type wiring and systems will be provided by the Owner under separate contract. Where the data symbol is shown on this sheet provide the empty back box and conduit to accessible location. Coordinate location of each data location with Owner before rough-in

Adjust classroom exit lights to align with exit door locations. Add (3) C fixtures in the new area of MP Room 122, see updated architectural plan. Connect new light fixtures to the lights already shown in that room. Refer to the Mechanical plans for the location of exhaust fans, wire each to run with the room lights as noted on the mechanical schedule. 14. Refer to Sheet SS2.1, dated 1/7/19, reissued with this addendum. The Contractor shall provide, as part of his work for this project, conduit and boxes as necessary to support the installation of the security devices shown on this plan. The installation of the device, and the required wiring for the device, will be provided by the Owners Security System Contractor separate from the work of this project. In addition, provide, as a part of this work for this project, a complete code compliant Fire Alarm System as shown on the plan and as described in the attached specification. END OF ADDENDUM 3

This Section requires a complete Design Build approach to the Fire Alarm system for this project. Components shown on the plans are for reference only. It is the Contractor s responsibility to design, provide and install a complete, code complying, properly operating Fire Alarm System SECTION INCLUDES A. Manual fire alarm stations. B. Fire alarm signaling appliances. C. Auxiliary fire alarm equipment REFERENCES A. NFPA 70 - National Electrical Code. B. NFPA 72 - Installation, Maintenance, and Use of Protective Signaling Systems. C. NFPA 72E - Automatic Fire Detectors. D. NFPA 72G - Notification Appliances for Protective Signaling Systems. E. NFPA Life Safety Code SUBMITTALS A. Submit in accordance with the requirements of Division 1, Section , and this section. B. Shop Drawings: Provide control panel layout and system wiring diagram adjustments showing each device and wiring connection required; approved by The Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). C. Record actual locations of initiating devices, signaling appliances, and end-of-line devices OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE DATA A. Submit under provisions of Division 1. B. Operation Data: Operating instructions. C. Maintenance Data: Maintenance and repair procedures REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS A. Conform to requirements of NFPA 70 and NFPA 101. B. Furnish products listed and classified by UL as suitable for purpose specified and indicated MAINTENANCE SERVICE A. Furnish service and maintenance of new fire alarm system additions for one year from Date of Substantial Completion. Provide comprehensive one-year warranty covering travel time, mileage, parts, labor, supervision, overhead & profit SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS A. Completed installation shall comply with all applicable codes. B. Arrange for additional power supply and system monitoring from emergency generator as required by system design. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 FIRE ALARM A. Furnish new Fire Alarm Control Panel, and sub-panels, as necessary to properly operate the new system. B. Power supply: Ensure supply is adequate to serve control panel modules, remote detectors, remote annunciators, and alarm signaling devices. Include battery-operated emergency power supply with capacity for operating system in standby mode for 24 hours followed by alarm mode for 5 minutes. C. System Supervision: Component or power supply failure places system in trouble mode. D. Initiating Device Circuits: Supervised zone module with alarm and trouble indication; occurrence of single ground or open condition places circuit in trouble mode but does not disable that circuit from initiating an alarm Fire Alarm System

Indicating Appliance Circuits: Supervised signal module, sufficient for signal devices connected to system; occurrence of single ground or open condition places circuit in trouble mode but does not disable that circuit from signaling an alarm. F. Auxiliary Relays: Provide sufficient SPDT auxiliary relay contacts for each detection zone to provide accessory functions (e.g. RTU/AHU Stop) specified. G. Provide TROUBLE ACKNOWLEDGE, DRILL, and ALARM SILENCE switch. H. Trouble Sequence of Operation: System or circuit trouble places system in trouble mode, which causes the following system operations: 1. Visual and audible trouble alarm indicated by zone at new fire alarm panel. 2. Manual acknowledgement function at fire alarm control panel silences audible trouble alarm; visual alarm is displayed until initiating failure or circuit trouble is cleared. I. Alarm Sequence of Operation: Actuation of initiating device places circuit in alarm mode, which causes the following system operations: 1. Indicate location of alarm zone on new fire alarm control panel and remote annunciator. J. Lamp Test: Manual lamp test function causes alarm indication at each zone at fire alarm control panel. K. Drill Sequence of Operation: Manual drill function causes alarm mode operation as described above. L. Zoning for new systems: Each Initiating Device INITIATING DEVICES A. Manual Station: Semi-Flush mounted, non-coded type, single action manual station. Provide manufacturer's standard backbox. Replace existing manual stations in building area included in this project scope SIGNALING APPLIANCES A. Provide horn/strobes having white plastic housing, a sound level of 97 dba average and synchronized xenon flash output of 15/75 cd, 30 cd, 60 cd or 110 cd as required by building layout. The horn strobe shall mount to a 1-gang, 2-1/2 deep electrical box. The strobe shall have lens markings for wall mounting. B. Provide all alarm and trouble signals at the main Fire Alarm System Panel FIRE ALARM WIRE AND CABLE A. Fire Alarm Power Branch Circuits: Building wire, cable or signal wire, installed per Section B. Initiating Device and Indicating Appliance Circuits: Cable or signal wire installed per Section Fire Alarm System

Install products in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. B. Install manual stations with operating handle 48 above floor. Install audible and visual signal devices 80" above floor. C. Use 16 AWG minimum size conductors for fire alarm detection and signal circuit conductors. Install wiring in conduit or cable (plenum rated) in trays, hoops or slings. D. Mount end-of-line device in control panel. E. Automatic Detector Installation: Conform to NFPA 72E FIELD QUALITY CONTROL A. Field testing will be performed under provisions of Division 01. B. Test in accordance with NFPA 72H MANUFACTURER'S FIELD SERVICES A. Prepare and start systems under provisions of Division 01. B. Include services of certified technician to supervise installation, adjustments, final connections, system testing, and approval by the City of Pontiac Fire Authority DEMONSTRATION A.
