It previously housed offices and labs for the University and is being renovated as an office building with a ground floor Classroom. Renovations of the shell and core will follow the 2013 California Building Code (CBC) and California Fire Code (CFC), and the 2010 California Energy Codes. The building will include a new UL 864 listed fire alarm system and will be protected throughout with sprinklers upon the completion of the base building. This may include a new fire pump installation and testing. Generator power will be provided to power the fire pump, one elevator in each bank, emergency/egress lighting, the fire alarm system, and the toilet exhaust fans from an adjacent building. The building will include a total evacuation fire alarm system. (Taken from Smoke Control Narrative, UCSF Clinical Science Building, supplied by The Fire Consultants, Inc. Date 8/19/14) SMOKE CONTROL REQUIREMENTS The Smoke Control Report, dated 8/18/14, and provided by The Fire Consultants, indicate the following conditions to be met: 1.
