3 CF1 Freight Terminal, Wentloog Location: Land south of Cardiff Rail Freight Terminal Wentloog, Cardiff Site size - 25 ha OSGR: ST Access: Ownership: Existing Land Use: Surrounding land use: Planning allocation: Water Environment: Ecology: Landscape: The site is situated adjacent to the Wentloog Road, a main distributor road that serves the Wentloog Industrial area some 2.5km from the A4232 on the eastern edge of Cardiff. Dedicated access to main line railway. Public ownership. Vacant: Greenfield Industrial and agriculture. The site is allocated in the Adopted Cardiff Local Plan (1996) as being suitable for Business, Industry and Warehousing (Policy 33) i.e. B1, B2 and B8 use. This allocation was reflected in the Deposited Cardiff Unitary Development Plan (2003). Permission granted on part of site for autoclave facility (2009). Zone C1 The site is partly located within the Gwent Levels: Rumney and Peterstone Site of Special Scientific Interest. The Severn Estuary SSSI, SPA and Ramsar is some 500m to the south. The site is located within the Wentloog Levels Special Landscape Area.

5 CF2 Lamby Way Location: Lamby Way Landfill, Lamby Way, Cardiff Site size hectares OSGR: ST Access: Ownership: Existing Land Use: Surrounding land use Planning allocation: Water Environment: Ecology: Landscape: The existing access currently serves the landfill site, and is situated some 800m east of the A4232. Cardiff Council Landfill and waste management facilities: beigefield. B2 and B8 industrial uses to north-east and west. This site is allocated for waste management uses in Cardiff planning policy (Local Plan and UDP). Zone C1 The site impinges on the Gwent Levels: Rumney and Peterstone Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is also adjacent to the Severn Estuary SSSI, SPA and Ramsar. Partially restored landfill adjacent to Wentloog Levels Special Landscape Area.

7 CF3 Port of Cardiff Location: Within Dock complex, Port of Cardiff Site size - 8 hectares OSGR: SS Access: Ownership: Existing Land Use Surrounding land use: Planning allocation:. Water Environment: Ecology: Landscape: Cardiff Docks are situated within 1.6 kms of Cardiff City centre with access gained to M4 via Rover Way (to east) and A4232 (to west). Existing rail network. Associated British Port Operational Port, with two remaining docks, Roath and Queen Alexandra. Commercial, industrial and residential to the north, west and east. The Port is identified at Policy 37 and 38 of the Cardiff Local Plan as Port Related Industry. Zone B The land is adjacent to the Severn Estuary SSSI, SPA and Ramsar. Cardiff Port is characterised by heavy industry.

9 CF4 Trident Park Location: Former Nippon Electric Glass Site, Trident Park, Ocean Way, Cardiff Bay. Site size 20 Hectares OSGR: SS Access: Ownership: Existing Land Use: Surrounding land use: Planning allocation: Water Environment: Ecology: Landscape: The site is located adjacent to Ocean Way/Rover Way, the main distributor roads from Port of Cardiff to M4. It s adjacent to Port railway lines. Private Redevelopment site including building materials distribution centres. Port related operations and B1/B2/B8 The Cardiff Local Plan allocates the site as Business, Industry and Warehousing (Policies 36, 37 and 39). Zone B The Severn Estuary SSSI, SPA and Ramsar, is located some 500m to the south east. Industrial and commercial.

There is no motorway-grade access to the site, although Cardiff West Services are located adjacent to the property. Private Agriculture Agricultural/Service Station Countryside. Part promoted as mixed use business park in Local Development Plan Draft. Zone A A number of SSSI s are located within 2km of the site, including Ty Du Moor SSSI, Brofiscin Quarry SSSI, and Coed y Bedw SSSI. Open countryside: no designations.

It is understood that this site is within public ownership. Vacant Commercial and residential to north and west. The Local Plan allocates the majority of the land for business, Industry and Warehousing use. The site is promoted for Business use in the Local Development Plan. Zone C2 The site lies within 100m of the Severn Estuary SSSI, SPA and Ramsar. No designations
