2 General Material The ROOF roof products are made of polypropylene. The material is weather-resistant and entirely maintenancefree. Colours The ROOF roof products are available in five different colours, selected to match most roof coverings. For technical printing reasons, the actual colours may deviate compared to this document. UH-16 exhaust air hood Suitable as an exhaust air hood for ventilation units. Connection to Ø 160 mm metal pipes. Max. airflow 130 l/s at 30 Pa. ROOF venting hood TP-11 venting hood Suitable as a venting hood for drainage systems. Connection to Ø 110 mm plastic pipes. Uninsulated. TPE-11 venting hood Suitable as a venting hood for drainage systems. Connection to Ø 110 mm plastic pipes. ROOF LPV roof duct kit LPV roof duct kit (Required for all products) Provides a watertight, functional roof duct comprising power roof ventilator, exhaust air hood and venting hood. Suitable for various roof slopes up to 45 (see also the Installation section). For three different types of roof: - LPV-T for clay/concrete roof tiles. - LPV-P for profiled sheet steel. - LPV-H for rebated sheet steel and bitumen. - LPV-HL for roofing membrane LPV-T for clay/ concrete roof tiles ALPV roof seal LPV-P for profiled sheet steel ALPV roof seal made of soft plastic material is included in LPV-T and LPV-P. 4 Controlling power roof ventilators General The power roof ventilators can be controlled via a switch, cooker hood with integrated transformer or a separate transformer. Via switch Suitable when the fan is only required to operate at one speed, e.g. for radon fan HI-11. Purchased separately from electrician. Function: On/Off. Via cooker hood Suitable when the power roof ventilator is used for the cooker hood. The power roof ventilator is controlled by the integrated transformer from the cooker hood s control panel. Function: The fan speed is regulated in fixed steps, e.g. low flow, normal flow, boost. See the product datasheet: Cooker hoods. Via Transformer Suitable when the ability to regulate the airflow in fixed steps is required, e.g. low flow, normal flow, boost. Power supply 230 V, 50 Hz. 3 optional voltages out of a possible 16, as well as stop. Enclosure Class IP 44. Max. fan power 390 W. Rated current 1.7 A. Transformer dimensions 175x78x125 mm. Variants Transformer and control panel in the same enclosure. Transformer and separate control panel for flush mounting. For surface mounting, the control panel can be placed in a junction box. Transformer without control panel. Transformer with control panel in the same enclosure. Accessories Several different accessories, such as a boosting timer, can be connected for demand-controlled ventilation. See product datasheet Control equipment. 5 Installation Example for roof with clay/concrete tiles Once a hole has been made in the suspended ceiling, roof seal ALPV is installed from below up through the roof (1-4). The protruding edge prevents condensation from penetrating. Roof duct LPV is installed on the roof covering (5), after which the power roof ventilator/hood is installed over the duct (6). Thanks to the design of the roof duct, various roof slopes can be handled. The power roof ventilator/hood is positioned vertically above the roof duct and screwed into place (7). 7 5
