Most importantly the galley is spacious with plenty of storage, workspace and a dishwasher.

3 DESCRIPTION A narrowboat of distinction Toad has been built by Stephen Heywood and Bourne Boat Builders. Commissioned by a discerning owner and built using best quality woods the interior is to Bourne s usually high standards. Using Mike Heywood s design Stephen has crafted something to be admired and desired. The hull is a great example of the style and has a range of traditional finishes that catch the eye. Internally the boat has a quality feel owing simply to the materials and craftsmanship. Solid Cherry, Maple and Teak woods are found throughout the boats cabin having been expertly placed and fitted by the time served boat builders at Bourne Boats. A conventional layout Toad is 60ft in length and offers four berths comprising of two double beds; one permanent and the other a sofa during the daytime. Most importantly the galley is spacious with plenty of storage, workspace and a dishwasher. Both a washing machine and dryer are also fitted aft for those who want to cruise long term. Equipment centres on a Beta Marine 43Hp engine, arguably the best engines available it has been coupled to a reliable PRM150 gearbox and then also fitted with a 3.5Kw Dometic Travel Power generator. Thanks to this, Toad has plenty of power to run the onboard appliances and also comes equipped with a Victron 1.6kw/70A combi inverter/charger for silent 230v power at night. Ready to cruise Toad has more than the average mod-cons and is even supplied with a TV, DVD and Satellite system. Toad is a boat for those who enjoy time afloat and want to do so in quality surroundings.

4 INTERIOR Insulation: Sprayed polyurethane foam Fit Out: Fitted throughout using the best woods available the interior finish is one of the best available, the following materials are used: Foredeck & Doors - Teak, a rich golden-brown wood a hard to medium density, Teak has a fire and acid tolerance in addition to steam bending potential. Traditionally used in furniture and ship building thanks to its durability and cosmetic appearance. Sub Floor - Balau, sturdy yellow-brown heartwood used in construction, bridge and wharf construction. Very durable and immune from insect or fungal attack. Flooring - Cherry, known as being one of the best all-around woods for workability. It is stable, straight-grained, and machines well. This cherry floor is sealed with a natural resin and has just been re-treated. T&G Roof Lining - Guarea, traditionally found in furniture, cabinetmaking, boat building, high-class joinery and vehicle construction. It dries fairly rapidly with little tendency to warp and there is only small movement in service so ideal for a T&G ceiling. Interior - Maple ply panelling is used throughout with a solid Maple trims and frame work. A non-durable or perishable wood it is not suitable for exterior use but is perfect for wood turning and has a generally straight, fine grain with an even texture ideal for interior finishes.
