Oce ou have a overall uderstadig of the istallatio sequece, carefull work through each step. 1: Desig the Laout Make a rough sketch of the premises to get a idea of where the alarm detectio devices, kepads, zoe expaders etc. are to be located. 2: Moutig the Pael The cotrol pael should be mouted i a dr area close to a uswitched AC power source ad the icomig telephoe lie (if usig a commuicator). You must complete all wirig before coectig the batter or applig AC mais to the cotrol pael. 3: Istall the Kepads ad Zoe Expaders Mout ad coect the kepads, zoe expaders ad output modules to the cotrol pael (see page 20 for wirig details). 4: Istall the Alarm Detectio Devices Istall the detectio devices, PIR s, Cotacts, PA Buttos etc. ad coect them to the cotrol pael (see page 28 for wirig details). 5: Istall the Exteral Souder Istall the exteral souder ad coect to the cotrol pael (see page 30 for wirig details). 6: Other Wirig Complete all other wirig icludig speakers, telephoe lie ad output coectios etc. (see pages for details). 7: Applig Power to the Cotrol Pael Oce steps 1 to 6 are completed, power ca be applied to the cotrol pael. Whe applig power for the first time, the factor default settigs must be loaded (see page 35 for details). Power should alwas be coected i the followig order: Coect the red batter lead to the positive termial of the batter ad the coect the black batter lead to the egative termial The pael will ol become live whe the AC Mais is coected or the Batter Kick-start butto is pressed. Coect the AC mais For a complete list of factor default settigs, see the Quick Referece Guide supplied with our pael. 8: Programmig the Cotrol Pael Please refer to sectio 5 for istructio o programmig the cotrol pael. 9: Testig the Sstem Test the sstem thoroughl to esure that all features ad fuctios operate as required (see page 104 for details). Cotrol Pael Moutig Mout the cotrol pael o a flat, plumb wall usig at least three screws of appropriate size. It is essetial to esure that oe of the fixig slots or cable etries are accessible after fixig. Mais cablig must be secured (e.g. with a cable tie) to oe of the achor poits provided. Wirig the Cotrol Pael WARNING: ELECTRICITY CAN KILL BEFORE coectig the cotrol pael ALWAYS discoect the suppl at the cosumer uit. If i ANY doubt cosult a qualified electricia. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION. HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES INSIDE, NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS, NO USER ACCESS. ONLY coect the mais suppl to the mais termial block, NEVER coect the mais suppl directl to the PCB. ALWAYS refer to Natioal Wirig Regulatios whe coductig istallatio. A appropriate ad readil accessible discoectio device (e.g. a uswitched fused spur) MUST be provided as part of the istallatio. The discoectio device must NOT be fitted i a flexible cord. Where idetificatio of the eutral i the mais suppl is NOT possible a two-pole discoectio device MUST be used. Use mais cable of adequate carrig capacit for the rated curret (i.e. at least 0.75mm 2 ). INS

DO NOT CONNECT THE MAINS SUPPLY TO ANY TERMINALS ON THE PCB. 2: Batter Kick-start Butto Whe powerig up the pael without AC Mais preset, this butto must be pressed i order to coect the batter. If AC Mais is preset this butto does ot eed to be pressed. 3: Earth Coectio Coects the PCB to earth 4: Batter Coectios A 12V rechargeable batter must be coected to these termials i order to provide cotiuous sstem operatio i the evet of a AC Mais failure (see page 19 for details). 5: Digicom Power These termials provide power; ad are ormall used for coectig a stad-aloe commuicator to the cotrol pael (see page 31 for details). 6: Exteral Souder Coectios These termials are used for coectig to a exteral souder uit (see page 30 for details). 7: Network Data Coectios & LED s Networks provide coectio for the kepads ad zoe expaders The + ad termials provide power whilst the T trasmits data ad R receives data (see page 20 for details). The red LED idicates that data is flowig out of the cotrol pael ad ormall flashes ver quickl. The gree LED idicates that data is flowig ito the cotrol pael ad ormall flashes slowl, the gree LED flashes faster as more devices are coected (see page 20 for details). 8: Pael Output 1 OP1 is a low curret (500mA -ve applied) output (see page 31 for wirig details). The output is also full programmable (see page 69 for programmig details). 9: SPK- Loudspeaker Coectio These termials ca be used for coectig up to oe 16 or two 8loudspeakers (see page 30 for wirig details). 10: Auxiliar 12V Power These termials are for coectig devices that require 12V power (protected b a 1A fuse). 11: Auxiliar/ Fault Coectios These termials ca be used for moitorig the tamper loop of a auxiliar device (see page 30 for details). 12: Programmable Zoes 1-8 These termials provide the coectios for the zoes (see page 28 for wirig details). Each zoe is full programmable (see page 41 for details). 13: Expader Port The expasio port is used for pluggig o a local zoe expader (see page 23 for details). 14: Com Port 2 Com Port 2 is a serial commuicatios port ad ca be used for coectig a PC ruig Witex or a supported serial device to the cotrol pael (see page 86 for details). 15: Plug-o Commuicator Coectios This socket provides coectio for the plug-o commuicator (see page 33 for details). 16: Digicom Outputs Outputs 1 to 8 are low curret (100mA -ve applied) ad would ormall be used whe coectig a stad-aloe commuicator to the cotrol pael (see page 31 for details). Each output is full programmable (see page 69 for details). Press ad hold this butto for 7 secods with power alread o the pael to restore just the Egieer code to the factor settig of Loadig the factor defaults ca take up to 30 secods to complete. Loadig defaults will ol be possible if the NVM has ot bee locked (see page 56 for details). For a complete list of factor defaults, see the Quick Referece Guide sectio of this maual. 22: Expasio The Expasio Port ca be used for coectig a 60XiD Zoe Expader (see page 29 for details) or a AV Module (see page 33 for details), X-10 Module or a Memor Module. 23: Heartbeat LED/Power Light Flashes steadil to idicate that the cotrol pael is fuctioig correctl. If the light is ON or OFF all the time, the there could be a problem (see page 35 for details). 24: Batter Charge Curret Selector Whe usig a 7Ah stadb batter the charge curret selector should be set to 300mA. If a 17Ah batter is coected (metal cabiet ol) the selector should be set to the 750mA positio. 25: Egieers Kepad A portable Egieers kepad ca be plugged o here to allow easier access for programmig ad testig. Whe usig a kepad as a Egieers kepad, the address must be set to 10 (see page 22 for details). The kepad zoes ad lid tamper are ot moitored. Port Coectio Serial commuicatios port for coectig to a PC via PC Com/USB Com or Com IP for use with RICOCHET Moitor Software. 26: Cover Tamper Provides tamper protectio for the cotrol pael. 27: Heartbeat LED/Power Light Flashes steadil to idicate that the cotrol pael is fuctioig correctl. If the light is ON or OFF all the time, the there could be a problem. 28: Cover Tamper Disable Disables the lid tamper 29: Flash Programmig Port For upgradig the pael firmware. 30: Batter Charge Selectio Select.03A or 0.75A batter chargig curret 31: Curret Readig Pads To calculate the curret draw of the cotrol pael, measure the voltage across the two pads ad multipl b 10 i.e. Readig = 34mV (x10) = 340mV = 340mA. 32: Batter Kick-start Butto Whe powerig up the pael without AC Mais preset, this butto must be pressed i order to coect the batter. If AC Mais is preset this butto does ot eed to be pressed. 33: Power Suppl Coectio Ol for use with the Texecom PSU. All other wirig MUST be carried out before AC mais is coected to the cotrol pael. After coectig the AC Mais, fit the mais cover, this ca be foud i the spares bag. Coectig Batteries If istallig to PD6662: 2004 the ol Oe 12V 7Ah batter or 12V 17Ah batter ca be fitted iside the cotrol pael to provide cotiued operatio i the evet of a AC mais failure, otherwise, two 12V 7Ah batteries ca be coected. All other wirig MUST be carried out before the batter is coected to the cotrol pael. Coect the red batter lead to the positive termial of the batter ad the coect the black batter lead to the egative termial. The pael will ol become live whe the AC Mais is coected or the Batter Kick-start butto is pressed. Two batteries ca be fitted ad still compl with PD6662:2004 if the Batter Splitter is used. INS

20 Istallatio Coectig Devices to the Network Before coectig kepads, zoe expaders ad output modules, isolate ALL power from the cotrol pael (AC Mais & Batter). Do ot cotiue if there is still power preset o the cotrol pael. Coectig devices with power still preset o the cotrol pael ma damage the device or cotrol pael ad ivalidate a warrat. Kepads, zoe expaders ad output modules are all coected to the same etwork termials located at the bottom left had corer of the cotrol pael ad ma be coected seriall (dais chai), i parallel (star) or a combiatio of the two (see Figure 1, page 21 for details). No more tha 8 zoe expaders, 8 kepads ad 4 output modules ca be coected to each etwork. The maximum umber of devices that ca be coected i total will deped o the cotrol pael fitted. Wheever ew devices are coected to the etworks, the must be cofirmed oto the sstem usig the Cofirm Devices meu optio (see page 109 for details). Wirig the Network The etworks are made up of four termials icorporatig power ad data. To esure correct operatio, all four termials o the device must be coected to the correspodig termials o the cotrol pael, or previous device (see Figure 1, page 21 for details). Commissioig ad Troubleshootig Commissioig Oce ALL coectios have bee made to the cotrol pael ad power is read to be applied, ou should read this sectio before cotiuig. Whe applig power for the first time, the factor default settigs must be loaded. The default settigs esure that the cotrol pael software is reset ad all programmig iformatio is loaded ito memor. For a complete list of factor default settigs, see separate Quick Referece Guide. The factor default settigs are loaded b applig power to the cotrol pael whilst at the same time, holdig dow the Factor Default butto. To default the cotrol pael, proceed as follows: Coect the black batter lead to the egative ( ) termial of the stadb batter ad the red batter lead to the positive (+) termial of the stadb batter Press ad hold the Factor Default butto Press the batter kick-start butto to coect the batter ad esure that the gree heartbeat light illumiates After the heartbeat light has illumiated, let go of the Factor Default butto (the heartbeat light will cotiue to flash whilst the factor default settigs are beig loaded, this ca take up to 30 secods) If the sstem goes ito alarm, eter the default Egieer code 1234, ad the alarm toe will stop To access the Egieer Programmig Meu, eter the default Egieer code 1234 The "Cofirm Devices" meu will appear check ad make sure all istalled Kepads ad Expaders are showig, press Yes ad Yes agai to cofirm. Each zoe cosists of a zoe tpe, attributes, areas ad zoe text. Whe programmig zoes, first select a zoe tpe the select a required attributes, assig the zoe to a area ad the program a required zoe text. Zoe Tpe + Zoe Attributes + Zoe Areas + Zoe Text = Zoe Programmed. The followig zoe tpes are available: 0 - Not used A zoe that is ot moitored b the sstem, uused zoes should be programmed as Not Used or liked out. 1 - Etr/Exit 1 Normall used for the mai etr/exit door i.e. Frot Door. The zoe ca be activated durig the exit mode without causig a Fault. Oce the sstem/area is armed, activatio of the zoe will start the Etr 1 Dela timer for the selected area. 2 - Etr/Exit 2 Normall used for aother etr/exit door that requires a differet etr dela i.e. Back Door, Garage Door etc. The zoe ca be activated durig the exit mode without causig a Fault. Note: The mobile phoe MUST use the Vodafoe etwork. A mobile phoe that uses a differet radio etwork will NOT show the correct sigal stregth. The TCD s primar sigallig path is via a IP etwork; therefore the cotrol pael eed s a IP address so that it ca coect to a local etwork. Esure that the customer has filled i the Customer IT Surve Form provided b EMIZON. This will give ou the iformatio ou eed to set up the IP data o the cotrol. see page 85 (Setup IP Module) Coect the Etheret cable betwee the Etheret port o the TCD uit ad the Network router. Commissioig Now that the programmig for the EMIZON21 is complete ou eed to power up the TCD ad wait 15 secods (approx) ad check the followig Flickerig light o the Etheret path LED. Flashig gree light o the GPRS path LED. These idicate that the sigallig paths are available ad that the TCD is read to be commissioed. Now ou eed to call The ARC ( ) with the TCD serial umber that is prited o the label located o the frot cover, the ARC will the associate the TCD to this specific istallatio o their sstem ad activate it. If this is the first time this TCD is beig istalled, ou will eed to wait for the tl idicatio to appear o the displa ad the press ad hold the set butto for 4 secods. The TCD will cotact EMIZON service platform ad the displa will alterate betwee tl ad 01, the CA (completel Active). Witex UDL via EMIZON 21 TCD To utilise the UDL optio ou will eed to sig up with the Emizo UDL service. After sigig up ou will be set our securit certificate alog with UDL server logi details. You must also istall the Emizo UDL software o to the PC ou ited to use for UDL.
