Pressure cotrol: The vacuum pump system cotrols thesystem pressure to the set value (costat pressure). Automatic: The vacuum pump system automatically fids thevapor pressure of the sample. If there are ay irregularities ithe pressure curve, the vacuum pump system adjusts the process pressure accordigly. Itelliget cotrol A key feature of the SC 950 vacuum pump system is its itelliget cotrol system. A pressure sesor measures the actual pressure i the system several times per secod, ad a microprocessor moitors ay pressure drop over time. The pump speed is adapted accordig to this iformatio costatly. Fast process times Besides itelliget cotrol, the diaphragm vacuum pump used i the SC 950 further cotributes to short process times. The pump is fitted with the pateted KNF diaphragm system that esures high suctio speeds eve at low pressures. The vacuum pump system achieves a ultimate vacuum of 2 mbar absolute ad delivers up to 50 liters of gas per miute. All gas carryig parts are maufactured from chemical resistat materials. At the start of each process, the vacuum pump operates at low speed to avoid over-respose i situatios with a small vacuum chamber volume ad a fast-boilig medium. If there is a large discrepacy betwee the actual pressure ad the setpoit pressure, the pump speed, ad thus the trasferred volume, is icreased i order to speed up the process. As soo as the actual pressure approaches the setpoit pressure, the pump speed is reduced. This esures fast process times ad high cotrol accuracy. Cotrollig via a PC Icluded i delivery with the SC 950 is Widows -based software, which also supports operatio of the system over a PC. I additio to the optios offered by the had termial, the software also supports the display of the pressure curves as a chart (setpoit/actual show), setpoit ca be saved, ad the export of data to spreadsheets or text files. Commuicatio with the PC is implemeted over a USB iterface. Extremely quiet operatio The itegrated vacuum pump operates extremely quietly. Furthermore the system stops the pump completely as soo as the setpoit pressure of the system is reached ad oly starts up agai itermittetly i order to offset ay slight drop i pressure due to leakages i the process equipmet. Perfectly matched compoets This vacuum pump system SC 950 opes up a whole ew rage of optios i the laboratory. This is due to ew fuctios ad techical solutios. Thaks to the coordiated developmet of the idividual compoets it has bee possible, for example, to adjust the sesitivity of the motor to suit the requiremets of the cotrol process.
