The istrumet has two mai meus: the Machie Status ad Programg meu. ACCESSING AND USING MENUS Resources are arraged i a meu, which ca be accessed b pressig ad quickl releasig the set ke ( Machie Status meu), or b holdig dow the set ke for more tha 5 secods ( Programg meu). To access the cotets of each folder, idicated b the relevat label, just press the set ke oce. You ca ow scroll through the cotets of each folder, modif it or use its fuctios. If ou do ot use the keboard for over 5 secods (time-out) or if ou press the fc ke oce, the last value show o the displa LED fc set Positio Related Fuctio Status is cofirmed ad ou retur to the previous scree mask. MACHINE STATUS MENU To access the Machie Status meu, press ad quickl release the set ke. If alarms are ot preset, the label SEt appears. B usig the UP ad DOWN kes ou ca scroll through the other folders i the meu: -AL: alarm folder (if alarms preset); -SEt: Setpoit settig folder. -rtc: real time clock folder. -Pb: probe value folder; -Pb: probe value folder; -Pb3: probe 3 value folder (if preset); Set settig Access the Machie Status meu b pressig ad quickl releasig the set ke. The label of the Set folder appears. To displa the Setpoit value press the set ke agai. The value appears o the displa. To chage the Setpoit value, use the UP ad DOWN kes withi 5 secods. If the parameter is LOC = the Setpoit caot be chaged. Real Time Clock B pressig the set ke whe the related rtc label appears, the label d (das) is displaed. Use the UP ad DOWN kes to set hours. If ou do ot use the kes for over secods, or if ou press ENTER ou switch to hours (h) ad utes ( ) folders: use the UP ad DOWN kes to set utes ad das respectivel. If ou do ot use the keboard for over 5 secods (time-out) or if ou press the fc ke oce, the last value show o the displa is cofirmed ad ou retur to the previous scree mask. PLEASE NOTE: Alwas cofirm with the set ke to store the hoursutesdas settig Alarm o If a alarm coditio exists, whe accessig the Machie Status meu the AL folder label appears (see the Diagostics sectio). Displaig probes B pressig the set ke whe the appropriate label appears, the value of the probe associated to it is displaed. PROGRAMMING MENU To access the Programg meu, press the set ke for more tha 5 secods. If specified, the level access PASSWORD will be requested (see parameter PA ) ad (if the password is correct) the label of the first folder will follow. If the password is wrog, the displa will show the PA label agai. To scroll other folders, use the UP ad DOWN kes; the folders cotai the level ad parameters. The level parameters ma be protected b a secod password (see PA parameter). If specified, level parameters are hidde to user; at the etrace of the Cf folder the level access PASSWORD will be requested ad (if the correct password is etered) the label of the first folder i the programg meu will follow. To eter the folder, press set. The label of the first visible parameter appears. To scroll through the other parameters, use the UP ad DOWN kes; to chage the parameter, press ad release set, the set the desired value usig the UP ad DOWN kes, ad cofirm with the set ke. Move to the ext parameter. PLEASE NOTE: It is suggested to switch-off ad switch-o agai the istrumet evertime it is chaged the cofiguratio of the parameters: this prevets malfuctioig o regulatio ad dela time occurig. I the stadard cofiguratio passwords are ot preset. To eable them ad assig them the desired value, access the Programg meu, withi the folder with the dis label. If passwords are eabled, the will be requested: - PA at the etrace of the Programg meu (see the Programg Meu sectio); - PA withi the folder with the Cf label cotaiig level parameters.

2 ENABLING DEFROST CYCLE MANUALLY To mauall activate the defrostig ccle, press the UP ke (if cofigured) for 5 secods. If the coditios for defrostig are ot preset, (for example, the evaporator probe temperature is higher tha the defrost ed temperature), or if parameter OdO, the displa will blik three (3) times, to idicate that the operatio will ot be performed. COPY CARD The Cop Card is a accessor coected to the TTL serial port which allows programg quickl the istrumet parameters (upload ad dowload parameter s map). The operatio is performed as follows: Format This commad allows cop card formattig, a operatio ecessar i case of first use or to cop maps with differet models. Warig: if the cop card has bee programmed, usig the Fr the data etered are erased. This operatio caot be cacelled. Upload This operatio loads the programg parameters from the istrumet. Dowload This operatio dowloads to the istrumet the programg parameters. The operatios are performed accessig the folder idetified b the FPr label ad selectig, accordig to the case, UL, dl or Fr commads; the operatio is cofirmed b pressig the set ke. If the operatio is successful a is displaed, o the cotrar, if it fails a will be displaed. Dowload from reset (istrumet OFF Coect the co card with the istrumet OFF (ot uder voltage). Whe the istrumet is switched o the programg parameters will be dowloaded ito the istrumet; after the lamp-test the dipla will show for about 5 secods: label dly if cop operatio successful label DL if ot PLEASE NOTE: after the dowload operatio the istrumet will immediatel work with the ew parameters map settig. DISTANCE-MANAGED SYSTEMS The Televis distace-maaged sstems ca be coected through TTL serial port (the TTL- RS 485 BUS ADAPTER iterface module must be used). To cofigure the istrumet for this purpose ou eed to access to the folder idetified b the Add label ad to use the dea ad FAA parameters. KEYBOARD LOCKING The istrumet icludes a facilit for disablig the keboard, b programg the Loc parameter (see folder with dis label). I case of keboard lockig ou ca access to the Programg Meu b pressig the set ke. The Setpoit ca also be viewed. ADVANCED FUNCTIONS LINK The Lik fuctio allows to coect up to 8 istrumets ( Master device ad 7 slave ad echo devices) to a etwork. The distace betwee devices must be 7 mt. at least. NOTE: the serial coectio betwee devices is power supplied. Master A istrumet that maages the etwork b sedig commads to Slaves. The Master is selected through the L parameter (the value defies the Master) Slave Istrumet(s) supplied with its (their) ow cotrols which also performs commads issued b the Master. Echo Istrumet(s) provided with a fuctio to view just the values of the istrumet which is associated to (thus it is ot provided with its ow IO resources, but ol acts as a repeater). NOTE: several Echo devices ca be coected to the same istrumet (Master or Slave; i case it is coected to a Slave module set L4=). Defrostigs The Lik etwork allows to maage defrostigs; the Master seds the commad for defrostig, which ca be performed schroousl (at the same time) or sequetiall (defrost after defrost ), without affectig the stadard protectios or delas of the istrumets (see parameter L3). The Master ca also activate the followig fuctios: lights cog o ad goig off, alarm silecig, auxiliar Setpoit, aux rela, stad-b (ooff), ad Night & Da cotrol (see parameter L5). The Master ca the schroize Slave ad Echo displas accordig to the Master or to a Slave displa (for Echoes) (see parameter L4). NOTE: schroous defrost is cosidered as regards the actual defrost, drippig ad subsequet fuctios. The defrost LED of the Slaves bliks at the ed of defrostig, whe Slaves wait for the thermostat to be eabled b the Master. The fuctios of the istrumet are associated b settig appropriatel the correct parameters (see the parameter table of the folder with Li label) NIGHT & DAY CONTROL The Night & Da cotrol algorithm allows to set evets ad ccles at predefied times of the week. You ca set a evet start time ad duratio, as well as the fuctios ad defrostigs (dail or festive ) to be eabled. B pressig the set ke whe the related ad label appears, the label d is displaed i the Programg meu. Use the UP ad DOWN kes to set other das (d d6) ad Everda). B pressig ENTER the first parameter E is displaed; use the UP ad DOWN kes to scroll through other parameters E 3. The regulatio of the maximum ad imum temperature alarm refers to the thermostat probe (probe ) ador dipal probe (probe 3). The temperature limits are defied b HAL (maximum alarm), LAL (imum alarm) ad PbA (alarm cofiguratio o probe,3 or both) parameters. ID 985 LX 8

3 MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM TEMPERA- TURE ALARM I case of alarm coditio, if alarm exclusio times are ot i progress (see, alarm exclusio parameters), the fixed alarm ico is tured o ad the rela cofigured as a alarm is activated. This kid of alarm does ot affect the regulatio i progress. Alarms are cosidered as absolute (default) values or as values related to the Setpoit (the distace from the Setpoit itself) ad based o the Att parameter. I this case (Att=), the HAL parameter must be set to positive values ad the LAL parameter to egative values. This alarm coditio ca be viewed i the folder AL with the labels AH-AL. ALARM WITH THRESHOLD (PROBE 3) B settig the PbA=3 parameter a alarm is associated to probe 3. It refers to a specific threshold (defided b the SA3 parameter). Furthermore, a over-temperature or a uder-temperature alarm is geerated ad the ico is tured o. This alarm coditio ca be viewed i the AL folder with the labels AH3-AL3. The alarm is maaged as a temperature alarm referred to probe 3: refer to stadard delas ad back swigs DEFROST ALARM If defrost eds because of a time-out (istead that because of a defrost ed temperature detected b the defrostig probe), a alarm is geerated a the ico is tured o cosequetl. This coditio ca be viewed i the AL folder with the label Ad. Automatic back swig occurs whe the ext defrost starts. B pressig a ke durig the alarm coditio, the sigal light disappears. I order to reall erase the alarm ou must wait the ext defrost. EXTERNAL ALARM The device icludes the possibilit to cotrol a exteral alarm, from a digital iput. If the digital iput is active, the alarm cotrol is activated, if programmed, ad stas util the ext time the digital iput is deactivated. The alarm is sigaled b turig o the fixed alarm ico, b activatig the rela cofigured as alarm, ad b deactivatig compressor, defrost ad fa cotrols (if specified b the EAL parameter). This alarm coditio ca be viewed i the AL folder with the label EA. The rela ca be sileced; eve if alarm ico starts blikig, cotrols sta locked util the ext time the digital iput is deactivated. OPEN DOOR ALARM I case of a ope door, i respose to dela defied b tdo parameter the Ope Door alarm is sigaled. The alarm is sigaled b turig o the blikig alarm ico. This alarm coditio ca be viewed i the AL folder with the label Opd. MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY The istrumet is desiged for pael moutig. Make a hole of 9x7 mm, isert the istrumet ad fix it usig the brackets provided. Do ot mout the istrumet i humid ador dirt places; it is suitable for use i ordiar polluted places. Vetilate the place i proximit to the istrumet coolig slits. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS Warig! Never work o electrical coectios whe the machie is switched o. The istrumet is equipped with screw teral boards for coectio of electrical cables with a diameter of,5 mm (oe coductor ol per teral for power coectios): for the capacit of the terals, see the label o the istrumet. The rela cotacts are voltage free. Do ot exceed the maximum curret allowed; i case of higher loads, use a appropriate cotactor. Make sure that power suppl voltage meets the istrumet voltage. Probes have o coectio polarit ad ca be exteded usig a regular bipolar cable (ote that the extesio of the probes affects the EMC electromagetic compatibilit of the istrumet: pa extreme attetio to wirig). Probe cables, power suppl cables ad the TTL serial cables should be distat from power cables. CONDITIONS OF USE PERMITTED USE For safet reasos the istrumet must be istalled ad used accordig to the istructio provided ad i particular, uder ormal coditios, parts bearig dagerous voltage levels must ot be accessible. The device must be adequatel protected from water ad dust as per the applicatio ad must also ol be accessible via the use of tools (with the exceptio of the frotlet). The device is ideall suited for use o household appliaces ador similar refrigeratio equipmet ad has bee tested with regard to the aspects cocerig Europea referece stadards o safet.
